Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch may be one of the most powerful MCU characters, but she still hasn't displayed several of her superpowers from the comics. The origin of Wanda Maximoff's abilities is more ambiguous than other superheroes'. It has been retconned multiple times in the comics, but it's still agreed to come from a genetic connection to chaos magic. In the MCU, it also has been suggested to be genetic, as Wanda could cast subtle probability hexes as a child but could only harness her powers consciously after being experimented on by Hydra.

Up until Scarlet Witch's apparent death in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Wanda Maximoff has showcased a variety of increasingly powerful magical abilities such as energy attacks, telekinesis, mind control, telepathy, levitation, and reality warping. In WandaVision, Scarlet Witch also used various subtle abilities that become even more dangerous outside Westview, including time and weather manipulation, teleportation, astral projection, and transmutation. Yet, there are many other powers Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch can still develop if she returns to the MCU.

8 Energy Constructs

Scarlet Witch and Ms Marvel in the MCU

The ability to shoot energy blasts is Scarlet Witch's earliest and most common power, but she hasn't used it to its full extent. In the source material, Scarlet Witch is able to create a diverse range of solid weapons and objects made up of pure magic energy similar to the MCU's version of Ms. Marvel's powers. These energy constructs could have been useful in Avengers: Infinity War, where Wanda Maximoff could have used them to defend herself and Vision from Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, and Thanos.

7 Replication

Scarlet Witch and Loki's Multiplication Spell in the MCU

Magic users in Marvel Comics and the MCU tend to multiply their bodies either physically or in the form of intangible illusions. This is an ability Tom Hiddleston's Loki displayed as early as the first Thor movie, and Doctor Strange showed just how powerful it can be in his fight against Thanos during Avengers: Infinity War. But despite being more powerful than Loki and Doctor Strange by the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Scarlet Witch hasn't tried creating replicas of her own body in the MCU yet. Granted, this is also an ability Scarlet Witch rarely uses in the comics.

6 Tracking

Scarlet Witch and America Chavez in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

The ability to track down anybody and anything may not be as visually exciting as most other superpowers, but it definitely is a useful one. Just like Scarlet Witch has been able to help Thor locate obscure cosmic entities across the universe in the comics, she could have kidnapped America Chavez in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness more easily by locating her remotely. If developed to its full potential, this specific power could match or even surpass the capabilities of Cerebro, the mutant-locating device that Professor X uses to enhance his own telepathic powers.

5 Gravity Control

Scarlet Witch and the Avengers Upside Down

Another subtle yet useful power Scarlet Witch hasn't used is gravity control, which comes in handy when fighting multiple opponents or particularly strong characters like the Hulk, as she could make them weightless or send them flying into the sky in a matter of seconds. So far, Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch has been able to transform matter, manipulate the weather, and rewind time — at least inside Westview. So, altering gravity might be well within her range of abilities, and its absence may be due to a lack of opportunities to use it.

4 Power Alteration

Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and She-Hulk in Marvel

The MCU's Scarlet Witch has bestowed heightened abilities upon non-superpowered characters such as Monica Rambeau and Ralph Bohner, and she was even able to create life from scratch in the form of Billy and Tommy Maximoff, who also developed powers inside Westview. However, Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch hasn't yet displayed the ability to modify or negate an existing character's abilities. In the comics, she has neutralized the X-Men's powers both briefly (in short battles) and almost permanently (in the House of M storyline, where most mutants lost their powers). Wanda has also altered Hulk and She-Hulk's powers in other occasions.

While Scarlet Witch used the Illuminati's powers against themselves in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, she didn't seem to wield them directly, which would involve copying, stealing, or changing them. This kind of power would be extremely useful against opponents like Doctor Strange or against weapons like the Infinity Gauntlet. But given how effective it would be, however, it might be difficult to introduce it to the MCU without making Scarlet Witch virtually invincible, which may be why it rarely appears in the comics as well.

3 Invisibility

Scarlet Witch in the MCU and Invisible Woman in Marvel Comics

Considering how many powerful abilities the MCU's Scarlet Witch has, it's rather odd that she hasn't turned invisible at least once. Both the comic versions and the MCU version are able to warp reality at will, so it is possible for Scarlet Witch to turn herself, other characters, and most objects invisible. This is an ability Scarlet Witch has displayed sparingly in the comics, but one that could be incredibly helpful if she used it more often. After all, Sue Storm a.k.a. the Invisible Woman has made an entire superhero career out of it.

2 Necromancy

Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch's Death in the MCU

While not easy or perfect by any means, the ability of bringing spirits back from the dead is one that Scarlet Witch has demonstrated in the comics. For instance, Scarlet Witch once resurrected Wonder Man, and after coming back from the dead, she asked Magneto to murder her, calling death "trivial". In the MCU, Scarlet Witch has come close to achieving necromancy with Vision and Quicksilver's return, but since Vision's consciousness is digital and Evan Peters' Pietro was an imposter, it's still out of her reach. However, Scarlet Witch's MCU return after the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness would finally mean that she has defeated death.

1 Universe-Level Reality Warping

Marvel Characters in House of M

Wanda Maximoff managed to alter the very fabric of reality in WandaVision, where she altered a small town and its inhabitants to her will. Yet, the MCU's Scarlet Witch hasn't come close to warping an entire universe's reality like her comic book counterpart infamously did in the House of M storyline. By just uttering the words "no more mutants", Scarlet Witch not only rewrote mutantkind's history but also affected every other hero and villain, including Wolverine and Spider-Man. Given that the MCU hasn't officially introduced mutants yet, it's possible that such a universe-altering feat is still awaiting Scarlet Witch in the future.
