Spoilers for Scarlet Witch #1 by Marvel ComicsWanda Maxmioff is referring to a surprise Marvel hero as her daughter, as Scarlet Witch just admitted Viv Vision fits the bill. While Wanda isn't Viv's actual mother or responsible for creating her, after the synthezoid showed up on her doorstep, the magical hero just told Darcy Lewis that some would say she is her daughter. It's an interesting new way of thinking for Scarlet Witch when it comes to Vision's daughter.

Viv Vision Isn't Technically Scarlet Witch's Daughter

Viv Vision first debuted in Vision #1, as the synthezoid was created by her father, Vision, as he constructed an entire family for himself as he attempted to live a normal, everyday life. However, while her brother Vin and her mother Virginia wouldn't survive the series, Viv would become an important hero in the Marvel Universe. Viv has used her powers, which are similar to Visions, to become a key member of the Champions, where she's fought alongside Ms. Marvel, Miles Morales' Spider-Man, and Sam Alexander's Nova. Now, the hero is showing up at Scarlet Witch's doorstep, where she's called Wanda's daughter.

Scarlet Witch - Viv Vision Daughter

The preview for Scarlet Witch #2 actually hints more at what Viv Vision is dealing with, as she's having nightmares about her mother's tragic death. Wanda will need to go into Viv's dreams and face off against Dreamqueen to save the young hero from the nightmare-inducing villain.

Wanda Maximoff is no stranger to grief, so when Viv Vision stumbles through Wanda’s door, exhausted and terrified of the nightmares playing her mother’s death on repeat, Wanda dives into Viv’s dreams to find the cause of the android’s suffering. And it turns out Viv isn’t alone in her mind… Scarlet Witch faces off against DREAMQUEEN in a reality-bending battle for Viv’s freedom!

Scarlet Witch's connection to Vision likely makes her see Viv as a daughter-like figure, as the complicated history of the young hero and her mother Virginia leaves her without a mother figure in the Marvel Universe. However, up until this point, Viv and Wanda don't exactly have a close relationship, so she'll likely need to do much more if she wants the synthezoid to refer to as her mother. Helping Viv Vision end her nightmares is a great place to start. Scarlet Witch #1 by Marvel Comics is in comic book stores now.
