The end is nigh and Jigsaw continues to insist that he's not just winging the whole "master plan" thing in the latest TV spot for Saw 3D, the seventh Saw movie to hit theaters in as many years.
A French TV spot for Saw 3D hit the small screen this week and we are just over two weeks away from the release of the actual film, so this new English-language promo is likely to be either the last or the penultimate (love that word) preview for the graphic 3D horror pic.
What exactly do we know about Saw 3D so far? Well, Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) may no longer be alive and well, but that hasn't stopped him from tormenting his victims with a whole new slew of life-threatening traps, the likes of which involve renegade razor blades, a floor plated with metal spikes, and a four-wheeler with a harpoon-like object attached to its front. So much for sleeping when you're dead.
The plot of Saw 3D - which, as always, looks to be secondary next to all the gratuitous violence - revolves around a group of people that survived Jigsaw's previous traps and are looking for some closure from self-help guru Bobby Dagen (Sean Patrick Flanery). Anyone care to place bets against them finding it?

Saw 3D looks to deliver exactly what its fans want and reportedly will resolve all the plot threads that were introduced in its predecessors. Saw VI failed to do too well at the box office last year, but the combination of high-priced tickets for 3D screenings and the fact that the seventh Saw won't open the same weekend as Paranormal Activity 2 should lead to better financial returns for Jigsaw's latest.
Saw 3D attacks 2D and 3D screens in the U.S. on October 29th, 2010.
