Where can beloved 1990s sitcom Saved By The Bell be found online, and is available on Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime? Fans of Saved By The Bell may not realize the show's surprisingly convoluted path to become a hit. The series was actually spawned from another show called Good Morning, Miss Bliss, which focused on Hayley Millis' title character. Miss Bliss was a teacher in an Indianapolis school, with Zach Morris and Screech being among her students. This version of the series didn't click with viewers, so it was retooled to become Saved By The Bell.
Saved By The Bell dropped the Miss Bliss character completely, moved the setting to California and focused around the students, with Mark-Paul Gosselaar's (The Passage) Zack becoming the focus. This retooling saw the show become a massive success, thanks to the comic chemistry of the cast. It might be badly dated when viewed through a modern lens, but it holds a special place in the hearts of a certain generation.
Those who want to revisit Saved By The Bell have several options. While the series isn't currently available to stream on Netflix or Amazon Prime in the U.S., it can be steamed on Hulu, NBC and the USA Network. The show can also be purchased from Vudu, iTunes and Google Play. Unfortunately for completionists, Good Morning, Miss Bliss isn't currently available to stream.
Saved By The Bell went on to spawn a few spinoffs, including Saved By The Bell: The College Years. Like the title suggests, the series focuses on the main characters and their wacky adventures in college, though the new format didn't take off and it was cancelled after a season. The series late received a finale TV movie dubbed Saved By The Bell: Wedding In Vegas, which dealt with Zack's wedding to longtime love interest Kelly (Tiffani Thiessen, Beverly Hills, 90210).
There was also Saved by the Bell: The New Class, which focused on a new set of students in Bayside High. This spinoff lasted way longer than the original series, running for seven seasons in total. Saved By The Bell is also being rebooted and will focus on a new set of students at Bayside, with Mario Lopez's Slater and Elizabeth Berkley's Jessie returning in recurring roles. Gosselaar and Thiessen will also make guest appearances on this new incarnation, so fans may want to check out the original series on Hulu before the reboot arrives.
