Saved By the Bell season 2 release date has been confirmed for November 2021. Saved By The Bell originated as a sitcom that aired from 1989 - 1993, focusing on the everyday lives of a group of teenagers at an upscale, fictional Los Angeles high school called Bayside. The original cast included Mario Lopez, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Dustin Diamond, Elizabeth Berkley, Lark Voorhies, and Dennis Haskins, who quickly rose to become household names. The show spawned several spinoffs and TV movies before eventually getting revived for Peacock's streaming service.

The revival, also called Saved By The Bell, features both a new cast of high-schoolers and the returning cast of the original series. Sadly, Dustin Diamond, who played the comedic role of Screech, passed away in February of 2021. The original cast is expected to pay tribute to Diamond in season two, although how that will be done has yet to be announced. Dennis Haskins, who played Principal Belding on the original show, did not return for the revival as well, primarily because his character would likely be retired at this point.

Peacock released a new trailer for Saved By The Bell Season 2, which revealed a November 24, 2021 release date. The new season continues the adventures of the latest and old cast, with several highlights and storyline teases. Bayside High will compete in the Southern California School Spirit Competition this season, while the various characters will all deal with a garden variety of issues. Daisy, Mac, Jamie, Lexi, Aisha, and DeVante will all face new challenges (and, of course, new love), while the returning cast of Slater and Jessie will grow "closer despite their tumultuous romantic past."

saved by the bell reboot roots put down

Season 1 showed Zack Morris (now Governor Morris) closing down several underfunded high schools, sending students to better-funded schools, such as Bayside. This move brings in a more diverse crowd than Bayside was used to, challenging their perspectives and welcoming a whole new set of characters to inhabit their world. Season one was successful enough to merit another, but thus far, a third season has yet to be announced.

Much like Netflix's Cobra Kai, Saved By The Bell seems to have found a healthy balance between the older cast of the franchise and the new faces of the series. This method has worked tremendously for Cobra Kai, which welcomes both older fans and new fans to the series while introducing both sides. Young fans come to love the older cast, and older fans love the younger cast, giving the franchise new legs to stand on and continue the legacy. With Saved By The Bell generating interest among new and old fans alike, the series has already captured the attention of multiple generations, which calls for a Screech-infused "Zoinks!"
