Lights are some of the newer constructible items in Satisfactory, providing a much-needed cosmetic addition to the game. Factories up until this point have mostly been lackluster, often being built for the simple practicality of keeping all of the machinery organized. But the factory was often lightless, and with lighting changes being expected in the future, this can result in the factories looking poorly lit at night. In some cases, it can be dark enough to make traveling at night difficult.

The new lights in Satisfactory come in a variety of forms, allowing the player to create different fixtures depending on their preference. Furthermore, there is a light control panel that players can use to change the color of the lights attached to it.

The recipes for all of the lights are all available in the AWESOME Shop within Satisfactory, meaning that players will have to collect a decent amount of FICSIT coupons to get all light recipes. Between getting the light control panel and indoor lighting, players will need at least 11 coupons to get everything they need.

How to Make Lights in Satisfactory

Satisfactory Light Recipes Selected

These AWESOME shop purchases will include recipes for:

  • Street Lights
  • Indoor Lighting
  • Flood Lights
  • Lights Control Panel

Before the recent Satisfactory update, players needed to have access to quartz crystal in order to craft lights. That has since been replaced with quickwire, which players can gain access to if they research the caterium research line, and set up a basic smelter-constructor line. Other than that, most other materials in the recipes are all made available at early hub upgrades. To be able to build all light buildings players will need to have progressed to tier 3 and unlock basic steel production, so they can craft items like steel beams and encased industrial beams.

Once built, all the player needs to get them in working condition is to connect them to an operational power grid. These lights only need up to 2 power on their own, but they can become quite a burden on the power supply in Satisfactory if the player builds enough of them in an effort to illuminate their entire set of factories. These lights can all be customized too, with players being able to determine the color and intensity of each light building if they interact with the light they want to change. Alternatively, players can change those settings on a massive scale if they build a light control panel and connect it to the same grid the rest of the lights are on.
