Glass star Sarah Paulson is hoping to get a role in a Marvel movie soon. Marvel Studios is rapidly approaching the first of three releases in 2019 with Captain Marvel, but they are also focused on developing the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There's already several known Phase 4 movies in development and each will bring more star power to the franchise.

Marvel Studios has shown a great ability in the past to land high-profile talent for their productions and is something that will likely continue as the superhero movie genre remains as popular as it is in Hollywood. The genre has been around in all shapes and sizes for decades, but some are more forthcoming about their comic book roots than others. Marvel and DC logos are some of the first images shown in their movies, while M. Night Shyamalan's Unbreakable and Split hid their superhero natures until the very end.

That is not possible for Shyamalan's conclusion to the trilogy, Glass, a film that boasts superhero movie regulars in its cast with Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury in the MCU) and James McAvoy (Professor X in Fox's prequel X-Men films). However, Sarah Paulson is just now getting involved in a superhero movie with Glass and apparently doesn't want it to end. She spoke to The Upcoming to promote Glass, but she ended the interview saying she'd like to be in a Marvel movie next with a wink to the camera.

Paulson is best known for her roles in American Horror Story and American Crime Story, the latter of which garnered her Golden Globes and Emmy awards. She was also part of the ensemble in Ocean's 8 and even had a small role in Netflix's hit film Bird Box. Now that Glass is close to hitting theaters and projected to have a great opening weekend, Paulson's popularity only continues to climb, and Marvel could take notice by casting her soon.

Since Marvel Studios is showing no signs of slowing down the rollout of MCU films, it may just be a matter of time before Paulson gets her wish. And if for some reason Marvel Studios doesn't get her involved, Sony could also look to cast her in one of their Spider-Man spinoff movies they're developing. Paulson's current interest may be in joining the Marvel world, but she also previously hoped she'd play Cheetah in Wonder Woman 1984. She clearly just wants to get more involved with the superhero film world however she can, but whether this gets Paulson a role in a Marvel movie remains to be seen. Marvel Studios is currently in the casting process for Black Widow, so that should be her next opportunity.
