Sanguinite is a mysterious element in Dragon Quest Treasures that players will be assigned to collect through a quest following the game's tutorial. Eggshell Island in the world of Dragon Quest Treasures is where players will find loads of starter monsters and a few quests that they will need to complete. One of the quests that players are assigned by Mr. Euston at the start of the game is to collect crystal Sanguinite.

After collecting the Sanguinite quest from Mr. Euston on Eggshell Island, players will need to head to Paternoggin. Players will need to gain some levels in the monster friends adventure Dragon Quest Treasures to complete this quest in preparation for the dangerous territory and battling against a difficult enemy. As Erik or his sister, Mia, head southwest from the train station, the first part of the quest to find Sanguinite will be found here.

How to Get Sanguinite

Dragon Quest Treasures - Mysterious Crystal

Once players have reached the Sylphanian Stockade (Plains) location in the Nintendo Switch-exclusive Dragon Quest Treasures, they will encounter Gayle. This character promises to help Erik and Mia get the Sanguinite they need, but only after winning a mock battle against her. Gayle and her monsters are all in the level 5 range, meaning players can bring their highest-level Dragon Quest Treasures monsters to get this battle over quickly.

After winning the fight against Gayle in Dragon Quest Treasures, this character will direct players to use their new treasure-hunting powers to scan the area for Sanguinite, which is hidden underground. Each monster in the player's party will give a different perspective of what the treasure looks like, and players will have to cycle through these perspectives to find the location indicated when the monsters start to signal treasure. Players can hold L and press B in order to cycle through their monsters' treasure visions.

The required treasure chest is located on this island in Dragon Quest Treasures in the map below and players can dig it up with the sword by holding the A button. This chest will contain one piece of Sanguinite and unlock a quick travel tunnel for players to get back to the train station. Once players return to the station, they can travel back to Mr. Euston to finish the quest.

After players have collected their first piece of Sanguinite from the game's initial quest, they are free to explore the islands for more. There are 29 total Sanguinite to collect in Dragon Quest Treasures - 4 are obtained from talking to Station Masters in Dragon Quest Treasures' land of Draconia, while the remaining 25 are obtained from The Snarl, the game's randomized dungeon. While the Station Master Sanguinite is easy to acquire, players who enter The Snarl will have to increase their Gang Rank and defeat bosses to get a certain amount of Sanguinite, which can be much more difficult.

Players can primarily use their Sanguinite to repair train stations on each island throughout Dragon Quest Treasures. Players can give the Sanguinite they find on each island to the Station Masters of each train station, who can be found near each station's elevator. While recurring characters and locations are what connect Dragon Quest Treasures to other Dragon Quest games, the train stations at these locations can be repaired to allow players to traverse Draconia even quicker and easier.
