Samsung has launched a series of protective cases for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in partnership with French fashion brand Lacoste. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is one of Samsung's two latest folding smartphones alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Both devices were launched in August as upgrades over the Z Flip 3 and the Z Fold 3, launched last year. The Flip 4, however, is considerably cheaper than the Fold 4, making it the more mainstream option for folks wanting a folding smartphone.

The launch of the Lacoste cases comes just a few short days after Samsung teased a collaboration with fashion brand Maison Margiela for themed versions of the Galaxy Z Flip 4. As part of the plan, the company posted an image that shows the Galaxy Z Flip 4 along with the Maison Margiela Edition branding but did not reveal any further details about what the Maison Margiela Edition will look like in the flesh. Over the past few years, the company has also been launching Thom Browne editions of its foldable phones as part of a collaboration with the fashion brand Thom Browne.

Samsung has partnered with French fashion brand Lacoste to launch four new protective cases for the Galaxy Z Flip 4. According to their listing page on the official Samsung website, the two-piece silicone cases will offer protection against bumps and scratches while being thin and flexible enough to provide a comfortable grip. They are available in four solid colors, including Graphite, Blue, Lavender and Rose Gold, and carry a prominent Lacoste crocodile logo at the back.

The Lacoste cases for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 have a functional design with a keyring attached to a loop. With sustainability becoming increasingly important, Samsung says that the cases and their packaging are both made from recycled materials. The packaging is not only made out of recycled cardboard, but it also uses vegetable glue and vegetable ink instead of synthetic materials.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time Samsung has collaborated with Lacoste to create smartphone accessories. Earlier this year, the company launched similar cases and covers for the Galaxy S22-series devices and the S21 FE. As for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 cases, they are currently available for purchase from Samsung's official web store in France for €44.90 each. However, it's not immediately clear if they will be launched in international markets, including the U.S.
