Samsung announced four products, including the popular foldable smartphones and two accessories, at the Galaxy Unpacked 2022. During the last couple of years, Samsung has sold the highest number of foldable smartphones, primarily because the devices are available across the globe. Other companies like Xiaomi and Vivo have also come up with foldables, but their availability is limited.

This was the second Unpacked event conducted this year as Samsung also held one earlier this year to launch the Galaxy S22 series, which includes the vanilla Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and the combination of Galaxy S series and Note smartphones, the Galaxy S22 Ultra. In addition, at the last Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung also revealed the Tab S8 lineup — Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8 Plus and Tab S8 Ultra. While Apple has its own user base, the Tab S8 is perhaps the best Android tablet that users can buy.

In the recorded presentation, TM Roh, the president & head of MX Business at Samsung, announced Galaxy Z Flip 4. The flipper smartphone comes with an armored aluminum frame, Samsung's strongest display on the cover screen and a new and improved hinge system. Under the hood, the smartphone features Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and offers 8GB of RAM with storage ranging from 128GB to 512GB. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 will be available for $999, and users can select from four colors, including Graphite, Pink Gold, Blue and Bora Purple.

Later in the event, the South Korean tech giant revealed the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, its flagship TWS for 2023. The earphones support 24-bit wireless audio transmission, come with Samsung's Seamless Codec and feature a dual-driver setup with 10mm main drivers and 5.3mm tweeters. With active noise cancellation, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will provide up to five hours of playback on a single charge and will be available for $229. Next, the company revealed Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro, priced at $279 and $449, respectively. While the former comes in two sizes (40mm and 44mm), the latter comes in a single size (45mm). This year, Samsung has improved the battery life and charging speed on both models to a great extent and added a new temperature sensor.

Last but not least, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 4. It comes with slightly slimmer bezels, a stronger inner display and an improved under-display camera. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and is available starting from $1,799. It is good to see that Samsung has not increased the pricing of the foldable and kept it the same as last year. Samsung also claims that the large foldable will provide better camera and battery performance when compared with its predecessor. Interested users can pre-order all the products launched during the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 starting Aug. 10; the devices will be up for sale from Aug. 26, 2022.
