New Galaxy Tab S8 details have been revealed and suggest that Samsung has decided not to experiment much with colors this time around. The new Galaxy-branded tablets are expected to launch next year, and just like the Galaxy S-series smartphones, will be available in standard, Plus, and Ultra versions.

Colors can influence consumers when it comes to purchasing a product, so it is not a surprise that manufacturers try to make their products available in as many colorways as possible. Samsung is one of the brands that is no stranger to releasing devices in not only standard colors, such as white and black/grey, but also brighter and more vibrant ones as well. In the past, the company has even provided buyers with the option of choosing colors to further customize their purchase.

Surprisingly, Samsung seems to be playing it safe with its next flagship tablets. The Galaxy Tab S8 series could be announced alongside the Galaxy S22 early next year, and like its predecessor, will be available as both Wi-Fi-only and 5G variants. Alleged to be confirmed by retailers, fresh details on the colors and configurations were posted to Twitter by Snoopy, a source known for Samsung-related leaks. If the leak is correct, those hoping to pick up the Galaxy Tab S8 in cool colors like with the iPad Air and the Galaxy Tab S7 FE will be sorely disappointed. Samsung will reportedly only launch the Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S8 Plus in Dark Grey and Silver color options, while those opting for the larger Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will only have the option of Dark Grey. Although these are boring colors, Samsung's decision might make more sense when considering that many will likely buy a case to protect the tablet.

In addition to the color options, some other details were revealed, including the screen size. At 11 and 12.4 inches, the standard and Plus models will retain the screen sizes of their predecessors, and will come loaded with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It is likely that other storage configurations will be available as well, based on the 2020 Galaxy Tab S7. In contrast to the standard and Plus tablets, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will reportedly feature a 14.6-inch screen. Another interesting feature that's specific to the Ultra model is that the display will house a notch similar to the current iPhones. Samsung will reportedly offer the ultra model in 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM models with 128GB and 512GB of storage.

The Galaxy Tab S8 series is also understood to feature an S Pen that magnetically attaches to the back of the device. Not to mention, all three of Samsung's new tablets should come loaded with high refresh rates, dual rear cameras, and will likely be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
