Samsung is expected to be launching its newest flagship, the Galaxy S22 Ultra within the first two months of 2022 and early leaks have given some glimpses of the new smartphone. None have shown the full beauty of the design as well as the latest renders. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is said to be a bit of a departure from previous styles, choosing a mix of flat and rounded edges and possibly even including a slot for an S Pen. It's certain to be a powerful device with unique styling, giving fans something to look forward to.

Samsung's S series typically launches in the first quarter of the year with previous releases coming as late as May for the Galaxy S3 and as early as January for the Galaxy S21. February is, by far, the most common month for the announcement of a new S series phone, 6 times in the past 12 years, so the weight of history favors the Galaxy S22 Ultra being officially revealed in a little over a month. In the meantime, there are some big leaks, juicy rumors, and beautiful renders to behold.

Based upon a leaked poster showing one supposedly official photo of the upcoming Samsung flagship, these renderings revealed multiple angles and five colors that have been rumored for the new Galaxy S22 Ultra. Dark forest green, deep red, and a moody sundown purple are shown along with the standard black and white that remains popular, but less interesting choices.

The biggest rumor about Samsung's Galaxy S22 Ultra is that it is actually a Note phone. The leaked poster shows an S Pen, rounded sides, and a flat top and bottom. The S Pen has the same size and appearance as that of the Galaxy Note 20 suggesting that the new Galaxy S22 Ultra could have a slot for storing the S Pen. This makes it a Note even if the official name is Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Other rumors of interest center around the camera technology, which will undoubtedly be improved over that of the previous generation. The camera array is expected to be melded right into the body rather than protruding as it has in most recent models. If rumors and the renderings prove to be true, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be one of the most interesting new phones in quite some time, a blend of two Samsung phone lines.
