Two days after the entire spec sheet of Samsung's Galaxy S21 FE was leaked online, a new report has seemingly revealed its exact launch date. The device will be the successor to the Galaxy S20 FE, which was launched late last year. While the S21 FE was initially expected to launch this year, the device has remained MIA until now. However, if the latest report is anything to go by, it won't be the case much longer.

Leaks about Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S21 FE have been trickling in for weeks now, revealing many details. Live images were leaked last month, showing off the device in all its glory. This week, the full spec sheet of the upcoming smartphone was leaked online, revealing even more. The latest rumor now suggests that it might launch in just weeks from now.

The latest report about the Galaxy S21 FE comes from noted tipster Evan Blass, who tweeted Monday about the possible launch date of the upcoming device. According to his tweet, Samsung will announce the device on Jan. 11, confirming earlier reports of a potential January launch. The tweet comes just days after the phone's full spec sheet was leaked online, revealing a somewhat capable premium mid-range device. According to a report from German tech blog WinFuture earlier this week, the Galaxy S21 FE will feature a flat 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel will reportedly be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and house an under-display fingerprint scanner below it. The Galaxy S21 FE will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 SoC and will offer up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

On the imaging side of things, the Galaxy S21 FE is said to ship with a triple-camera setup led by the same 12-megapixel f/1.8 primary shooter with OIS and 1.8µm pixels, as seen on the Galaxy S21. Alongside that, the two other cameras are said to include a 12-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide shooter with a 123-degree field-of-view and an 8-megapixel f/2.4 3x telephoto zoom camera with OIS.

Connectivity options will reportedly include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and eSIM support. It's also rumored to have IP68 certification. The device also carries a 4,500mAh battery with wireless charging support. In terms of measurements, the device is 7.9mm thick and weighs 170 grams. However, for all its hardware prowess, it will still apparently have a polycarbonate (plastic) body.

The Galaxy S21 FE is said to run Android 11 with One UI 3.1 out-of-the-box, but Samsung will reportedly roll out the Android 12 update with One UI 4.0 at some stage next year. The report further claims that the device will be priced starting at Є749 in Europe for the 6GB+128GB version, while the 8GB+256GB variant will reportedly be priced at Є819. Earlier leaks suggested that the Galaxy S21 FE might be priced starting at $699 in the U.S.
