Samsung's marketing the Galaxy Buds 2 as its lightest and cheapest Galaxy Buds yet — and they also happen to be some of the most colorful. For the past few releases, Samsung's Galaxy Buds have become somewhat iconic for their fun colors. The Galaxy Buds Pro launched in standard black and silver styles, but they also come in a gorgeous Phantom Violet colorway. The Buds Live are even more stunning, coming in black, white, bronze, red, and blue. Compared to the boring white aesthetic of AirPods, Samsung's commitment to fun colors is always great to see with each new release.

With the Galaxy Buds 2, Samsung's hoping to attract its biggest audience yet. They're the smallest Galaxy Buds to date, they support active noise cancellation, there's an ambient mode, and all of that is available for just $150. That makes them the most affordable Galaxy Buds available in 2021 and puts them in direct competition with the likes of AirPods and Beats Studio Buds. They may not be as technically impressive as the Buds Pro, but the Galaxy Buds 2 represent the best value yet from Samsung's earbud offering.

In typical Samsung fashion, the Galaxy Buds 2 come in an assortment of colors. There are four to choose from at launch, including graphite, white, olive, and lavender. That gives folks a good variety of styles to choose from, and regardless of which color someone picks, they'll pay the same $150. Furthermore, all four colors are available everywhere the Galaxy Buds 2 are sold — including Amazon, Best Buy, Samsung's website, etc.

How To Pick The Best Galaxy Buds 2 Color

Digging a bit deeper into the colors, let's start with white. White is arguably the most boring choice, but it does get the job done for anyone who wants the sleekest possible look. The earbuds and case are both covered in a 100-percent white paint job, right down to the gel ear tips and the case's hinge. Whether someone's trying to mimic the AirPods look or prefers the simpleness of this style, the Galaxy Buds 2 in white could be the way to go.

Thankfully, things quickly pick up with the three other colors — all of which have a distinct two-tone design. Take the graphite/black Galaxy Buds 2, for example. The outside of the case is still white, but the inside has a stealthy black coat of paint (as do the earbuds themselves). It gives the whole package a panda/stormtrooper appearance, and it looks darn good while doing so. It's more visually interesting than white, but it's also not too boisterous like the other two colors. That's a fine line to straddle, and the graphite Buds 2 manage to do so wonderfully.

Speaking of those other two colors, let's take a closer look at them. Similar to graphite, olive and lavender have the same two-two appearance. Olive is an interesting choice. Some folks might see it as a pleasing earthy tone, but it could also be mistaken for a barf-like color. It's certainly the most divisive of the available options, with most people either loving or hating it. By comparison, lavender is much more approachable. It adds a fun pop of color, isn't too intense, and resembles the Phantom Violet color from the Buds Pro. For someone that wants the 'flagship' color choice, lavender is definitely the way to go. Of course, all that really matters is that someone gets the color that best fits their personal style. Whether that's white, graphite, olive, or lavender, don't worry about what anyone else thinks. Buy the color you like the most and end it there.
