Sam Wilson has become one of the frontrunning Avengers ever since his first appearance in Captain America: The Winter Soldier back in 2014. From army veteran to Steve's running partner to Avenger to Captain America, Sam's journey is certainly one to celebrate.
Essentially, all of the Marvel movies have been successes on Rotten Tomatoes, but it just so happens that Sam has appeared in some of the highest-rated ones, such as Avengers: Endgame and Captain America: Civil War. While not always being on the right side of the government, Sam has always done what he thought was right, which is one of his best traits.
Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 76%
Sam appears twice in Avengers: Age of Ultron but neither appearances are during the main battle of Sokovia. One is at the beginning of the party at Avengers tower where he plays pool with Steve and gives a brief update on his search for Bucky.
Sam also briefly appears at the very end as part of Steve's new Avengers team, sporting his new red-and-grey suit, one that is closer to his red-and-white suit from the comics.
Ant-Man - 82%
Sam only appeared briefly in Ant-Man as Scott tries to steal a piece of technology from the Avengers compound. This was the first time fans saw Sam's new suit in action with a new Tony Stark-ized suit, including a heads-up display.
Safe to say, Falcon loses that fight after Scott destroys Sam's pack, causing his wings to malfunction. Wanting to protect his pride, Sam jokingly asks the agent on the other end of his comms to not mention it to Tony.
Avengers: Infinity War - 85%
After the events of Captain America: Civil War, fans find Falcon with Natasha and Steve on the run from the government, but they turn up in Edinburgh to save Wanda and Vision from the Black Order.
Sam, sporting a brand new beard and a rusted version of his suit from the Civil War, fights alongside the Wakandans and some of the other Avengers against Thanos' outriders before sadly being turned to dust by the Snap.
The Falcon And The Winter Soldier - 89%
Sam's limited screentime in Avengers: Endgame was certainly made up for in The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, the latest Disney+ series from Marvel. Sam initially struggles to take up the shield and gives it back to the government as he believes it's the right thing to do. However, the show also touches on an issue that is not often talked about amongst superheroes: paying the bills. Even though Sam fought to literally save the universe he still struggles to get a simple bank loan.
The show also focuses on Sam's friendship with Bucky, his sister, and the rest of his family, whom fans also hadn't seen before. Some of the show's best moments show Sam sitting and talking with Bucky or his sister about the problems he is facing. In the end, Sam acknowledges that he, while being one of the most powerful characters on the show, does not have superpowers or enhanced abilities, but is simply a normal person who is trying to do the right thing.
Captain America: Civil War - 90%
Fans see Sam Wilson now as a full-fledged Avenger working with Steve, Natasha, and Wanda to track down Rumlow. Sam was always going to be on Steve's side of the Sokovia Accords due to their friendship built throughout Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Despite their differences, as soon as Vision misses taking Sam down and disables Rhodey's suit, Sam immediately dives to try to catch Rhodey before he hit the ground. Fans may remember Sam's wingman Riley who was shot out of the sky with an RPG, so after seeing Rhodey about to face a similar fate, Sam does everything he can to save him and save Tony from the pain he felt.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier - 90%
Fans are first introduced to Sam Wilson in Captain America: The Winter Soldier as he is the very first character on-screen. Sam completed two tours of war before coming back to Washington and working to help other veterans cope with their PTSD. From that first meeting on the run, Steve knows that Sam is someone he can trust and that is exactly what he does when he and Natasha are on the run from S.H.I.E.L.D — aka Hydra.
Sam is of course integral to taking down the Helicarrriers and this is also the first time fans hear the Falcon score, which would be reused in The Falcon And The Winter Soldier.
Avengers: Endgame - 94%
The movie that ended the 11-year arc for a few of the Avengers also kick-started Sam Wilson on a whole new journey to become the latest to hold the mantle of Captain America. Although Sam isn't present for the majority of the movie, thanks to being dusted by Thanos, he still has one of his best MCU moments when fans first hear, "Cap, it's Sam. Can you hear me? On your left."
Sam also gets another moment to shine at the very end when Steve Rogers passes on his shield to him. Sam says he will do his best, but as fans now know, he initially struggles in taking on the role. The movie is certainly a worthy culmination to the MCU's Infinity Saga.
