Sam Mark and Aussie Chau haven’t had an easy ride on The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 1, but Sam has demonstrated why she's the cast member who has grown the most. Sam and Aussie entered the Netflix show after Sam proposed to Aussie, though Aussie wasn’t yet ready to say yes or no. While Aussie is slowly making some signs of progress, Sam has flourished on The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 1.

Sam and Aussie are one of five couples who were cast on The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 1. They joined the show alongside Lexi Goldberg and Raelyn Cheung-Sutton, Mildred Woody and Tiffany Der, Mal Wright and Yoly Rojas, and Vanessa Papa and Xander Boger. Sam and Aussie split in the early stages of the show, and ended up moving in with another set of exes, as Mildred and Aussie picked each other. Sam and Tiffany ended up being the final new pair on the show. While Aussie ended up leaving Mildred early, Sam thrived during her stint on the series

Sam Got The Most Out Of The Process

The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 1 challenged cast members to evaluate who they are and what they want, as well as how they're holding themselves (and their partners) back in relationships. Sam ended up partnered with Tiffany, after all the other couples seemingly made connections. However, both Sam and Tiffany committed to the process, even though they didn’t share a romantic spark. Sam cultivated her communication skills during her time, and learned how to help Tiffany had milder defensive responses to stressful situations. This was evident when Tiffany went back to Mildred, and demonstrated the skills Sam had taught her.

Sam Stepped Up For Aussie

Not only did Sam commit to the process with Tiffany, but she showed that she's a wonderful partner to Aussie on The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 1. Aussie is someone who demands a lot of specialized communication, as Aussie struggles to face conversations and validate people. Instead, Aussie chooses to run away. Sam demonstrated her extreme patience, as well as her kind and understanding communication skills, after she returned from her time with Tiffany. She tried to help Aussie learn how to communicate with her respectfully. Unfortunately, Aussie still struggles with that.

Overall, Sam showed that she is the kindest and most understanding cast member on the series. Though numerous cast members have made progress, Sam has gone above and beyond when it comes to behaving well. Not only did she change for Aussie, but she also helped Tiffany grow, which mended things between Mildred and Tiffany. No matter what happens on The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 1 finale, Sam learned a lot on the show's first season.
