Ryan Reynolds celebrates his frenemy Hugh Jackman on his birthday in a rather fitting way: By posting a silly TikTok. The so-called feud between Reynolds and Jackman is legendary and has been in play for several years now. The two met on the set of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and while some might argue that few good things came from that movie, it at least gave rise to one of the best celebrity friendships out there. Jackman and Reynolds have been taking playful shots at each other online ever since, and they've even used their relationship to raise money for charity.

Most recently, Jackman stepped up to support Reynolds with the release of his latest movie, last summer's Free Guy. While Reynolds took on the starring role of Guy, the video game NPC who favors kindness and peace, Jackman put in a cameo that was so sly, some fans might've missed it. Jackman voiced a masked player who aids Jodie Comer's Molotov Girl in an early scene. Free Guy became an unexpected success, and Jackman made sure to congratulate Reynolds on the win.

Now Reynolds is the one reaching out to Jackman on social media, and for a very special occasion. October 12 is Jackman's birthday, and Reynolds proved he's thinking of his pal by posting a silly TikTok. With "A Million Dreams," a song from Jackman's The Greatest Showman, playing on full blast, Reynolds reveals he's wearing socks with Jackman's face. "Look I don't tell you how to celebrate Hugh Jackman's birthday. So don't tell me," he wrote on top of the video. That's the mark of true friendship: Having socks with your BFF's face on them.

Both Reynolds and Jackman have some major projects coming up. Next month, Reynolds will star in the Netflix original movie Red Notice alongside Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot, and he remains in development on Deadpool 3 at Marvel Studios. Jackman, meanwhile, will return to Broadway in early 2022 in The Music Man, and he recently wrapped on The Son, the new movie from the writer-director behind The Father.

In other words, both Reynolds and Jackman have a lot to celebrate, so perhaps they will share some additional support for each other in the next few months. Their rivalry/friendship has become a viral sensation that has even crossed into movies like the aforementioned Free Guy and Deadpool 2. Though most of the time their posts are jokingly antagonistic in nature, it's clear they have a lot of affection for each other. Happy birthday to Hugh Jackman; we only wish we could celebrate like Ryan Reynolds is right now.
