In a new video, Ryan Reynolds shares the secret on how to punch Dwayne Johnson and get away with it. Reynolds and Johnson are currently starring in the Netflix original film Red Notice, alongside co-star Gal Gadot. The action-comedy, directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, had the biggest debut for any Netflix film to date, which is still the number one most-streamed movie on the service over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Reynolds and Johnson previously appeared together in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. Both actors have had a strong turnout for their individual efforts in 2021 with Johnson's Jungle Cruise and Reynolds' Free Guy both doing exceptionally well at the box office. Red Notice was filmed during the height of the pandemic and has since become a major hit for Netflix, with talk of a sequel, Red Notice 2, presumably with Reynolds, Johnson, and Gadot involved, in early talks.

In a new Tik Tok video, Reynolds is asked if he ever punched Johnson while filming Red Notice, which he says he did not. The actor elaborates, "Never. I would never do that, because that would be the end of my life as I know it." However, Reynolds did note that the trick to getting the upper hand on Johnson is to simply have "an excellent getaway plan." Reynolds seems to call out Johnson's lack of speed in the video, saying that he doubts The Rock could catch anyone that hit him so long as they "walk really fast."

Reynolds is currently taking an acting hiatus, but has a number of films lined up for release in 2022, including The Adam Project with Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldana, and Jennifer Garner, as well as Spirited with Will Ferrell. Johnson has two DC projects releasing next year, including DC's League of Super-Pets, voicing the lead pup, Krypto, and Black Adam, the first live-action iteration of the famed anti-hero. Johnson is also preparing to film the Amazon original film Red One with his Jumanji director Jake Kasdan.

With some elaborate and dangerous-looking fights throughout Red Notice, it's certainly likely Reynolds hit Johnson a few times throughout filming, but it's possible the two stars avoided the altercation altogether. However, even if Reynolds did land a hit on Johnson, it's likely that both would be professional about the incident and carry on as such. That said, it would be fun to see Reynolds deliver an accidental hit to the face and the subsequent reaction of Johnson, who while known to be a kind and gentle giant, could certainly take on Reynolds if he wanted to. Whether Reynolds would run or simply "walk really fast" afterwords would be fun to see unfold.
