Fans have been divided over RuPaul's Drag Race season 14, the latest installment in the large franchise. The season 14 premiere aired in early January and, two months later, is about halfway through the season. It was running during the same time as RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. The World, also known as an international all-stars event. Check out all of the reasons why fans are divided over this Drag Race season.

RuPaul's Drag Race season 14 started off by separating the queens into two premiere episodes, where each queen performed their own talent and fans were able to get to know them better. A highlight of the talent show was fan-favorite Willow Pill making performance art with her hilarious "self-care during lockdown" routine, starting out in a white Victorian nightgown. There have been several design challenges already this season, but another highlight came when they acted in Daytona Winds and Jasmine Kennedie displayed her "so bad it's good" Southern accent. This season has also had some low moments, especially in Snatch Game, when DeJa Skye won and the rest of the seven girls were put in the bottom.

Each RuPaul's Drag Race season comes with fans and haters from around the world. This season is no exception and many fans have called out the show this season. Producers made the controversial decision to cast their first straight, cisgender male on season 14, and some fans disagreed with that decision, especially because RuPaul only recently let openly transgender men and women compete. However, Maddy Morphosis won over many fans during her time on the show, and was celebrated as a great ally by her castmates.

Many fans are also divided over the length of RuPaul's Drag Race season 14, as it had its episode order at 16. Some fans feel that it drags the season out, slowing it down, while others are happy to see the fabulous cast for as long as possible. While most fans agree that this season has a great group of contestants, the lack of eliminations in the past couple of episodes has bothered many viewers. The eliminations that have happened are also controversial, as some amazing "lip syncs for their life" did not save the queens, leaving some fans believing that it seemed more rigged than usual.

Though the fanbase largely loves the cast of RuPaul's Drag Race season 14, viewers are split on whether or not they like the drama this season. Queens like Daya Betty love stirring the pot each episode, but others feel that there is not enough drama to justify having an Untucked after each episode. Some are happy to see how close the cast has gotten with each other, while different fans want to see more ruthlessness and shade. The latest addition to this season has also left fans on opposite sides, as there are some who love the "it's chocolate" moment, calling it an iconic part of the show. However, others think it is another unnecessary thing to include.
