Since the announcement of RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK Versus The World, many RuPaul’s Drag Race fans have been waiting patiently to learn more details, and luckily, the wait is over with the revealed lineup of competing queens! Airing on BBC and WOW Presents Plus in the US, the international drag competition will follow nine queens as they compete for the title of Queen of the World. The Drag Race franchise has grown exponentially, with franchises everywhere from Thailand to Holland. Drag Race UK Versus the World seeks to merge these franchises into one show-stopping and out-of-this-world drag competition with the very best representing their respective countries. 

Hosted in the UK, three Drag Race UK queens will fight for the crown against six iconic queens from all over the world. Drag Race fans have had to wait patiently to learn which queens will be competing, clinging to the little details released within the past few months. The competition will feature long-time Drag Race judges RuPaul and Michelle Visage and Drag Race UK judges Alan Carr and Graham Norton. Guest judges are another fun element of the competition, with Melanie C, Daisy May Cooper, and Michelle Keegan joining in on the Drag Race thrills alongside many other British celebrities.

After much anticipation, ET has revealed the lineup of queens which is packed with power performers. Representing the host nation of the UK will be Baga Chipz of Drag Race UK (series 1, 3rd place), Blu Hydrangea (series 1, 5th place), and Cheryl Hole (series 1, 4th place). Holland will be entering the drag arena with Janey Jacké, the runner-up for season 1 of Drag Race Holland. Pangina Heals, the co-host of Drag Race Thailand, will be throwing on her competition heels, stepping away from the judging panel, and staking her claim for the international crown. Drag Race Canada queens Lemon (season 1, 5th place) and Jimbo (season 1, 4th place) will be joining the lineup as well, eager for a second chance to make Drag Race herstory. And finally, veterans and competitors of the original US Drag Race Jujubee (season 2, 3rd place; All-Stars season 1, 3rd/4th place; All-Stars season 5, runner-up) and Mo Heart (season 10, 8th place; All-Stars season 4, runner-up) will be daring to prove their international acclaim.

Many queens performing on the UK Versus The World have proven they have what it takes to snatch the crown throughout their previous Drag Race seasons. The lineup highlights a variety of personalities and drag styles, from comedy queens to pageant stars. When asked how she feels to be returning to the Drag Race stage, Jujubee explained, “If Ru calls you, you answer and you do exactly what she wants you to do! So I’m here to take on the world!” The international competition will be a diverse and entertaining affair packed with powerful queens proving they have what it takes to win, with stakes higher than ever. 

Reality competition fans often appreciate a crossover episode. With the announcement of the competing queens on Drag Race UK Versus The World, many Drag Race fans can get excited about who might claim the crown and title of Queen of the World. Will it be a queen with a few different seasons under their belt, such as Jujubee or Mo Heart, or perhaps a newer queen like Pangina Heals that sweeps judges off their feet? Only time will tell as RuPaul’s Drag Race fans wait for the new international competition to finally premiere.
