RuPaul's Drag Race UK season 2 is finally here, with an official premiere date and a full cast announcement. Liverpool queen The Vivienne won Drag Race UK season 1 and became the UK's First Drag Superstar. She fought her way to the end and was almost sent home after a bad week, but she ultimately overcame her struggles and arrived at the finale with a lot of confidence. And to make things even harder, The Vivienne had to fight against Baga Chipz and Divina De Campo at the finale, both of whom were extremely fierce queens.

The first season of Drag Race UK was a huge hit for the BBC, and the network even celebrated the series for enticing several new subscribers to sign up for its iPlayer streaming service. The original American show was already very popular in the United Kingdom, so this edition was unsurprisingly also a big hit with the audience. And yet, Drag Race UK also managed to become the biggest non-US spin-off in the entire franchise, reaching a much wider audience than the two first Thailand seasons. Now, RuPaul is back to save the queens and crown one of them in the end.

It's official: the RuPaul's Drag Race UK season 2 cast will feature a total of 12 queens fighting to become the UK's Next Drag Superstar and succeed The Vivienne. This new season will premiere on Thursday, January 14, 2021. In the US and in select territories around the world, the series will be streaming exclusively on the WOW Presents Plus streaming service. The season 2 queens and their respective Instagram profiles are A'Whora, Asttina Mandella, Bimini, Cherry Valentine, Ellie Diamond, Ginny Lemon, Joe Black, Lawrence Chaney, Sister Sister, Tayce, Tia Kofi, and Veronica Green. The first edition of Drag Race UK was a massive hit for the World of Wonder production company and its WOW Presents Plus streaming service.

The fans are definitely looking forward to a new season of Drag Race UK, even if it will start immediately following the RuPaul's Drag Race season 13 premiere. Overall, this just means that January - and 2021 as a whole! - will be filled with new Drag Race content, which will hopefully usher in a new era of fabulousness in the world. The people behind this franchise - and the fans - are clearly very excited about all of this success, and there are even rumors that 2021 might feature a total of two Drag Race UK seasons. However, the fans are sticking with season 2 for now, which has been officially announced for January 2021.

It's time for a new queen to be crowned in the UK... on RuPaul's Drag Race UK season 2, that is. 12 drag performers will get to compete for the crown, but only one will come out victorious.
