Miz Cracker has apologized for her criticism of Ongina during the first two episodes of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 5, but Ongina is not taking the apology lightly and has plenty more to say about Cracker's behavior on and off the show. On RuPaul's Drag Race season 1, Ongina broke several barriers for the franchise - from being a bald queen to openly revealing her HIV status on the stage. As such, Ongina is largely credited for bringing in a very real queer storyline to a show that was then more focused on traditional reality TV tropes like dramatic fights between the contestants. For many years, fans have been clamoring for Ongina to be cast on All Stars. Miz Cracker was a very strong contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race season 10, placing fifth on the season and going on to win the hearts of many adoring fans.
On the very first episode of Drag Race All Stars 5, fans were exposed to a years-long feud between India Ferrah and Derrick Barry, immediately drawing a sharp contrast to the very peaceful dynamic among the castmates on Drag Race season 12. Also on the premiere episode, Miz Cracker expressed her surprise at the fact that Ongina had not landed in the bottom, stating that she didn't want to pick to eliminate between Derrick Barry and Mayhem Miller if, according to her, the worst performance of the night was Ongina's. After the episode aired, Ongina said in a tweet that she was disappointed in herself and therefore understood Miz Cracker's on-screen comments. However, Miz Cracker doubled down on her criticism in the second episode, and Ongina's feelings have seemingly shifted.
On RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 5 episode 2, Miz Cracker stated that she regretted not looking for whiteout and writing Ongina's name to be eliminated in the previous episode. This is, of course, a reference to BenDeLaCreme using whiteout to write her own name on a lipstick, therefore eliminating herself from All Stars 3. The queens in the room mostly laughed at what was presumed to be a joke, but Ongina made it clear in her confessionals that she was taken aback by Miz Cracker's remarks. Following Ongina's elimination at the end of the episode, Miz Cracker said the following on Twitter:
This time, however, Ongina was not sympathetic to Miz Cracker's All Stars 5 comments and did not reply directly to the Cracker's tweeted apology. In fact, as of this writing, Ongina does not follow Miz Cracker on Twitter. On a since-deleted Instagram Story, Ongina thanked most of the queens on All Stars 5 for their support. However, in the last few sentences, Ongina directly addressed Miz Cracker, saying, "I hope next time you are surrounded by queens, whether it's a local stage or a world stage like All Stars, if a queen is feeling nervous, unsure of themselves or losing confidence, that you choose to uplift them instead of kicking them while they're already on the ground." Ongina finalizes the statement by saying, "We can make the choice to be genuine and sisterly even in a competition with $100k on the line."
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 5 has barely started, but it is already one of the most dramatic Drag Race seasons in recent history. Considering that the fans are now divided between two beloved queens, it is possible that this friends-to-enemies feud will have a few more chapters.
