Since making a huge splash on RuPaul's Drag Race season 7 and All Stars 2, Katya has gone on to become an international superstar that includes stand-up specials, acting gigs, book deals, talk shows, podcasts, and even original music. Katya was introduced to the Drag Race universe on season 7, when she was crowned Miss Congeniality. Considering how successful she had been on the show, the World of Wonder production team chose to greenlight the UNHhhh talk show as a platform for Katya and Trixie Mattel to explore their comedy chops.

With barely any time left to prepare, Katya was promptly cast on RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars 2, where she competed against fan-favorite queens like Alaska, Detox, Roxxxy Andrews, and Alyssa Edwards. Katya did make it onto Top 4 this time around, but she wasn't able to snatch the crown. Nonetheless, All Stars 2 only made Katya even more popular with the fans, with some even calling her the ultimate "robbed queen" of the series. Over the years, Katya certainly proved herself to be a superstar with longevity and range.

Besides hosting WOW Presents Plus' UNHhhh with Trixie Mattel, Katya has been featured as an actor on many TV shows in recent years. To name a few, Katya has appeared on HBO's Room 104, Netflix's Tales of the City and AJ and the Queen, as well as Hulu's Love, Victor. After traveling the country with Help Me, I'm Dying, that tour also became a TV comedy special. In 2020 alone, Katya published the best-selling book Trixie and Katya's Guide to Modern Womanhood, released the Vampire Fitness EP, and launched a makeup collection with Trixie Cosmetics called Red Scare.

After Katya overcame a tumultuous time in her personal life in 2018, she went on to launch the Whimsically Volatile podcast with co-host Craig MacNeil. She has since followed up that project with a new podcast, The Bald and the Beautiful, which also stars Trixie Mattel. As of this writing, Katya has over 2.2 million followers on Instagram, which makes her the third most-followed queen in Drag Race herstory. Right now, Katya is only behind Bianca Del Rio (2.4 million) and Trixie Mattel (2.3 million).

In 2021 and beyond, the fans are looking forward to watching Katya and Trixie on the upcoming UNHhhh Tour. Katya keeps breaking new ground while never losing her unique sense of humor and points of view, which is a testament to just how talented this queen really is.
