RuPaul’s Drag Race season 13 stars Kandy Muse and Tamisha Iman received a nomination for Best Fight at the MTV Movie and TV Awards. The drag queens did not manage to get along during this season of Drag Race. The tension between them was brought to a boiling point during an episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked. Consequently, their fight sparked an eruption of fan opinions and is considered one of the best parts of the season.

Conceptually, the MTV Movie and TV Awards event always attempts to celebrate movies and TV moments that made a huge splash in pop culture. The nominations are made by MTV, but the winner is decided through a fan vote. The trophies are referred to as "Golden Popcorn." For the 2021 edition, Kandy and Tamisha have stiff competition that includes drama involving Teresa Giudice, but they can certainly pull off a win for their stellar argument.

The award-worthy argument between Kandy Muse and Tamisha Iman began after the Bag Ball, a challenge requiring the contestants to create a fashion-forward look out of bags. The boisterous Kandy placed in the top, while the old-school Tamisha landed in the bottom. Kandy loudly and proudly celebrated her win in a way that Tamisha interpreted as arrogant. As such Tamisha chose to call it out. Kandy lit up, yelling back into the void while asking the other queens if she was arrogant. An offended Kandy Muse then said, “If you don’t have star quality, get the f**k out of here”. “Star quality!? I’ve been around thirty years little girl” to Tamisha Iman.

The battle lines drew themselves and the two fan-favorites engaged in a fight that entered the herstory books of RuPaul's Drag Race. In response, Tamisha declared “I said what I said” and then doubled down on what she had said. Kandy replied with “I never ever heard any of you b**ches in this competition tell me that to my face,” to which Tamisha reacted with a simple, “I just did.” Kandy Muse said that she did not care about those accusations, while Tamisha claimed that she did not care either. In the end, Kandy removed herself from the room after several more words were exchanged.

The feud left RuPaul's Drag Race fans in awe and social media flooded with fans taking sides. And yet, Tamisha was eliminated after the feud between her and Kandy culminated in a lip sync in the following episode. Kandy made it to the top four of the competition, and Tamisha has received a lot of praise for her many years doing drag.
