The preview is here for this week's episode of RuPaul's Drag Race. The 8th episode of season 12 begins with the queens mourning Brita's exit. Things quickly transition to the discussion of Gigi Goode winning the challenge over Jan.
The episode 7 win for Gigi Goode makes RuPaul's Drag Race herstory. She has become the first person to win three challenges before the 8th episode of the show. Bob the Drag Queen won her third challenge in episode 8 of season 8. Now that Sherry Pie (who has two wins under her belt) has been disqualified Gigi has sprinted ahead of the rest of the competition. This causes quite the stir in the Werk Room as Jan breaks down in tears about her best friend, Brita, going home.
The other drag queens certainly have a lot to say about Jan's breakdown in the trailer for this week's episode. Jaida Essence Hall and Jackie Cox admit they think Jan is crying because she lost the challenge to Gigi. The queens seem to think Jan is crying tears of frustration because she is not breaking through in this competition. Jaida does not seem convinced that Jan is actually crying because she is heartbroken for Brita. The competition is starting to get to these girls and The Widow Von'Du is ready to attack while the rest of them start to crumble. Widow won the first challenge and she is prepared to sneak up on these girls who have forgotten that she is a serious contender for that crown. This is a rare move on the show's part. Usually, they make the queens pick teams themselves. Then it is revealed that the queens will have to throw shade at each other in a mini-challenge. Sherry Pie pokes fun at Jan for crying about losing her friend and Jan responds "at least I have some friends." They certainly left THAT Sherry Pie moment in the edit. Cue the shade rattle.
In the shorter Instagram promo for this week's episode, RuPaul brings back the question that always causes the most drama on the show. Mother asks, "Who should go home tonight and why?" If the girls are smart they will try to get rid of some of the tougher competitors. It is likely we will see most of them say Heidi because she has been in the bottom the most times. This season has been full of drama so the girls might surprise us with their answers.
