It's been 32 years since the sitcom Roseanne first premiered, and it's been a big hit ever since. It originally ran for nine seasons before coming back for a reboot in 2018. The show was then renamed The Conners after a scandal with Roseanne Barr, the title actress.

The ten seasons of Roseanne have a total of over two hundred episodes, and there were definitely some that soared above the rest. Here are the episodes that came out on top for each season according to ratings on IMDb:

Season 1: Episode 20 Toto, We're Not In Kansas Anymore - 8.2

Only one state sits between Kansas and Illinois, where the Conner family lives, but in this episode, it feels like they're one and the same.

A tornado is on its way, and Roseanne is very concerned about her sister, whom Roseanne sent on an errand. The family, along with Crystal, tries to take precautions, and eventually, Jackie returns and hunkers down along with them. Thankfully the tornado eventually passes, and everyone comes out okay.

Season 2: Episode 7 Boo! - 8.6

It's Halloween for the Conners, and they are putting together a very detailed haunted house called, "The Tunnel of Terror," for the trick-or-treaters of the neighborhood. Along with this, Dan and Roseanne have gotten themselves into a friendly competition to see who can be the spookiest by scaring and playing pranks on each other.

Not everyone is in the Halloween spirit though; Becky is bummed about not getting invited to a party, and she's not in the mood to get involved with the family's Halloween plans.

Season 3: Episode 3 Like A Virgin - 8.3

Three episodes hold the top spot for season three, and in this episode, Roseanne and Dan are facing the fact that their daughters are growing up. Becky is getting more attention from boys, so Roseanne thinks it might be time to tell her about the birds and the bees.

It turns out that their other daughter is the one who needs to hear "the talk" because she is already kissing boys. She reveals that she doesn't even like the boy she's been with; she just wanted to start kissing boys before Becky!

Season 4: Episode 6 Trick Me Up, Trick Me Down - 8.2

Halloween has come around once more, and this year, Roseanne has decided to play a prank on her neighbor Kathy Bowman by pretending to murder Dan on the kitchen table.

Roseanne and Dan are having a great time later at the lodge party, being the evening's entertainment as a man and his ventriloquist dummy, and they even win $50 for the costume contest. However, the fun stops short when Kathy shows up, and Roseanne becomes anxious that Kathy is going to get her back for the prank.

Season 5: Episode 14 War And Peace - 8.8

This episode is part two of, "Crime and Punishment," in which Roseanne and Dan realize that Jackie's boyfriend Fisher has been physically abusing her. Dan then beats him up and winds up in jail. In, "War and Peace," Darlene bails Dan out of jail, and Roseanne takes Jackie to the hospital.

Soon, Fisher is begging for Jackie to come back, and Roseanne is not having it. However, while Roseanne is ready to defend her sister, Jackie stands up for herself and tells Fisher to buzz off.

Season 6: Episode 4 A Stash From The Past - 8.7

Roseanne finds a bag of marijuana in David's room while she is cleaning, and she gives him a very stern lecture. After David leaves the room, Dan realizes that the bag actually belongs to him and Roseanne from twenty years ago.

The two of them, along with Jackie, decide to smoke to stash for old time's sake, but they realize it's not as fun as it used to be. This episode ranked number twenty-one in TV Guide's, "100 Greatest Episodes of All Time in 1997."

Season 7: Episode 6 Skeleton In The Closet - 8.1

Is it October again already? Roseanne fans sure do love Halloween episodes! In this one, Leon is having a Halloween party. He has been giving Jackie's husband Fred a bit more attention, much to Fred's annoyance.

Fred seems really friendly with Leon's gay friends, who all seem to know him fairly well. This leads Roseanne to suspect that Fred himself might actually be hiding the fact that he is gay, even though he is married to Jackie.

Season 8: Episode 25 Fights And Stuff - 7.8

In the final episode of season eight, Dan comes home from the hospital after having a heart attack at Darlene's wedding. He is supposed to make some lifestyle changes, including starting a new diet, but he isn't exactly following the doctor's orders.

When Roseanne discovers this, a huge fight breaks out, and old grudges are brought to the surface of their relationship. Roseanne isn't sure if things can be fixed, and she ends up leaving.

Season 9: Episode 24 Into That Good Night - 7.5

This episode served as the original series finale, and it revealed a lot. Roseanne has been writing a book, and the last several seasons of the show have been part of her book. It turns out that the family did not actually win the lottery, and Dan ended up passing away from the heart attack.

Her sister is the gay one, not her mother, and the couples are switched - Darlene is with Mark, while Becky is with David. She also added to people's personalities and changed things about individuals as well.

Season 10: Episode 5 Darlene V. David - 8.2

The reboot of Roseanne premiered in 2018, and everything seems to have gone back to the way it was, with the final episode of season 9 being fictional for Roseanne's book.

It's twenty years later, and Darlene and David have two children. David is not in the picture anymore, but he shows up unexpectedly at Harris' birthday party. Darlene and David begin to reexamine their relationship in attempts to figure out what they both want and what they can have.
