The Rogue One prequel TV show casts 6 Underground star Adria Arjona in a mystery role. With the Star Wars movies going on an intentional hiatus for the next few years, Lucasfilm is counting on TV to be the franchise's future. One of the many shows the studio is developing for Disney+ is Rogue One spinoff focusing on Cassian Andor's days in the Rebellion. The series was supposed to begin production this year, but filming has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Despite being unable to roll cameras for now, Lucasfilm is still finding ways to keep working on the Rogue One show.

Namely, the studio's started to round out the Rogue One show cast. Back in the spring, it was confirmed Genevieve O'Reilly is returning as Mon Mothma and Stellan Skarsgård and Kyle Soller are joining Star Wars in mystery roles. These are in addition to Alan Tudyk reprising fan-favorite droid K-2SO. There's still no word on when the Rogue One prequel will start shooting, but now another name has joined the ensemble.

According to Deadline, 6 Underground star Adria Arjona has been cast in the Rogue One spinoff. Unsurprisingly, details about her character are unavailable at this time.

While it's unknown who Arjona is playing, it is said she will "star opposite Diego Luna." That implies she could have a lead role in the Rogue One TV show, perhaps as one of Cassian's closest allies in the Rebellion. While the Rogue One movie alluded to Cassian's dark past, it was light on specifics - including who he may have worked with. Other possibilities include Arjona playing an Imperial tasked with thwarting Cassian's missions or one of Star Wars' trademark scoundrels caught in the midst of the conflict. It will likely be some time before audiences learn more about Arjona's character, particularly since Star Wars Celebration (where the Rogue One show likely would have been highlighted) was cancelled this year. The priority for Lucasfilm right now is The Mandalorian season 2, so official updates on Rogue One and other shows will be saved for later.

Arjona's already racked up a number of high-profile credits in her career, including Pacific Rim: Uprising, 6 Underground (one of Netflix's biggest original movies ever), and next year's Morbius. Despite having those titles on her résumé, Arjona is still a relative unknown, similar to many Star Wars stars that have come before her. It'll be interesting to see if the Rogue One show is what makes her a household name and opens the door for even more opportunities, a la Daisy Ridley and John Boyega. She definitely seems to be a star on the rise, so landing a principal role in Star Wars could put her over the top.
