Not only does he know how to grab the audience's attention with his talent, but he never ceases to amaze with his costumes. As his career takes off, so does his imagination with his concert attire. Egerton's interpretation of the famous singer is nothing short of iconic, and the outfits he recreates are just as memorable as the originals that inspired them.

Patches Denim Jacket

The amount of patches sewed onto this jacket keeps viewers guessing about what they mean and what every single side of the jacket entails. Some of the more notable patches on the jacket include a shamrock, a spaceship, a music note, and a rainbow.

Completed with a graphic t-shirt and a pair of retro spec glasses, this look was just the beginning of his soon-to-be catalog of iconic outfits.

Tri-Colored Sunglasses And Sequined Red Jacket

One of the safer looks in the film, this outfit is not only trendy, but it pays homage to John's British heritage and the Union Jack.

Even with a low neckline and sparkles, this scene was shot in the early days of the singer's career when he is stuck between wanting to make a statement for himself and play it safe as an up-and-coming London artist.

Red, White, And Blue Square Print Jacket With Star Tank Top

The opposite of showing British pride, this outfit gives a shout-out to American patriotism. A closer look at the ensemble shows the singer dressed in red, white, and blue square prints with a tank top full of stars, closely representing the American flag.

The addition of a few sequins and individual rhinestones encrusted along the jacket and corners of the squares makes the outfit stage-ready.

Winged Boots And Gold Hot Pants

Hot pants were a major fashion trend in the '70s and the real John rocked these pants to continue to push the boundaries for men's fashion and male performers.

The winged boots were also inspired by the real-life singer but were made even flashier to create more of an impact, drawing inspiration from the Mr. Freedom shoes that were popular in London in the '60s.

Star Print And White Overalls

The star print is not one of his more unique looks, but for a debut performance as an artist, it may be one that will leave an impression on the audience.

The addition of the metallic platform shoes and signature statement glasses gave this costume enough star power (no pun intended) to catch the attention of the venue he was playing at and kick-start his solo career.

"Yellow Brick Road" Outfit

The costume designers of the film were influenced by The Wizard of Oz for this look, which was supposed to take place after John's release of the album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

This ensemble included a blue suit, ruby red shoes like Dorothy, a silver shirt for the Tin Man, a fur coat for the Cowardly Lion, and a straw hat for the Scarecrow. Egerton even chose to wear an emerald ring with the outfit to represent Emerald City.

Queen Elizabeth Costume

Although the real ensemble was inspired by Louis XIV, the one created for Rocketman was even more fabulous as it took inspiration from the one and only Queen Elizabeth I. This look could represent his rising reputation as music royalty and his continuing streak of being a trailblazer in the fashion industry.

Not to mention, the costume designer clearly wanted to closely compare John with the Queen with strikingly similar outfits.

Sequined Dodgers Uniform

This uniform was inspired by John's 1975 sold-out Dodgers Stadium concerts and is one of his most famous outfits. According to the film's costume designer, this version of the uniform has more than 260,000 crystals from his hat to his shoes.

A play on the real John's chicken costume, this striking ensemble is hard to miss. During a key part in the film, this outfit is shown when John is trying to be taken seriously by the audience, all while sporting the most outrageous outfit one has ever designed.

The costume includes a sequined codpiece and more than 500 feathers.

Devil Costume

One of the most iconic looks and the one that is shown in the opening scenes, the devil costume is one that is unforgettable to most viewers. The outfit was designed to represent John's bad-boy era that led up to his time in rehab, in addition to the star wanting real, true love.

Created with 140,000 hand-sewn crystals, the outfit is the epitome of John's style and confidence in owning who he is as an artist.
