Warning! Spoilers for Robin #5 by DC Comics below

As DC's different heroes who were once Robin come together to stop Damian Wayne from risking his life in a deadly tournament, the current Boy Wonder just called out Jason Todd for being the most emotional of the group. In Robin #5, Damian tells the Red Hood his thoughts on each Robin, but when he tells him he's the most emotional and offers him a hug, Jason quickly learns it was all a trick.

Few characters have had more challenging lives than Jason Todd. After becoming Batman's newest Robin, the unpopularity of the character led to readers voting to kill him off in one of the most horrifying ways imaginable. However, after being murdered by the Joker, Jason Todd would return years later as the antihero, the Red Hood. Resurrected by the Lazarus Pit, Jason decided to take justice into his own hands and do what Batman wouldn't: kill. Over time, Jason has reconnected with the Bat-Family despite not seeing eye-to-eye with Batman.

In Robin #5 by Joshua Williamson, Gleb Melnikov, Luis Guerrero, and ALW's Troy Peteri, a group of Robins arrives on Lazarus Island to stop Damian Wayne from participating in the deadly League of Lazarus Tournament. Damian fends off each Robin, but his interaction with Jason is one of the most intense moments in the comics. After being confronted by the Red Hood, Damian tells him everyone thinks he's cool because he died - while joking about forgetting to bring a crowbar to the fight. Damian continues to goad Jason by saying he's watched him for years and that while Dick is the most experienced Robin and Tim is the smartest, he believes Todd is the most emotional.

Robin Calls Out Jason Todd Emotional

Robin offers Jason a hug, but Damian shocks him with an electric attack and escapes when he hugs him back. But, to be fair to Jason, considering he has literally died and doesn't want to see Damian do the same, offering him support in the situation was the right call, even if it didn't work.

If any character in the DC Comics mythos has the right to be emotional, it's Jason. He has been through Hell and back after dying at the hands of the Joker and had to rebuild trust with Batman, who refused to kill the Clown Prince of Crime after he took his life. Unfortunately, Damian knows how to manipulate his fellow Robins, and calling out Jason for being emotional and offering him a hug was a brilliant yet sinister trick. Robin will risk his life in the League of Lazarus Tournament, which begins in Robin #5, in comic book stores now.
