The upcoming Avengers: Infinity War promises to deliver plenty of action - with Iron Man among those at the center of it all - but Robert Downey Jr. is teasing that his favorite scene in the movie doesn't involve his own character.

With some 80 characters making their way onto screens for the 19th MCU movie and third official Avengers team up, there are high hopes for what the Russo Brothers can deliver. Alongside the long-awaited arrival of Josh Brolin's Thanos to Earth, Infinity War will also set events in motion for the final half of Phase 3 and lead to the cataclysmic climax that is Avengers 4. The various trailers have shown that Downey Jr.'s Iron Man playing a substantial role in the story, but the star's favorite scene concerns someone else altogether.

Apparently, Downey Jr. won't be massaging Tony Stark's ego any further, as he revealed his favorite Infinity War moment to the Toronto Sun:

"My favorite shot in the movie has already been seen, and it's when Thor, who's just totally gnarled up, turns and goes, 'Who the hell are you guys?' and you cut to the Guardians [of the Galaxy]. I'm like sold. If the whole third movie was that scene, we're fine."

It would've been all too easy for Downey Jr. to pick his continuing comedy relationship as Spider-Man's mentor or perhaps that third act battle in Wakanda as his favorite moment from Infinity War, but he seems content with picking something a little more subdued.

There are some huge meetings of the minds in Infinity War, but the Guardians of the Galaxy finally getting a little closer to the Avengers is sure to be one of the movie's biggest spectacles. The MCU last left a hopeful Thor sporting his gnarly eyepatch and heading out to lead the remnants of Asgard to find a new place they could call home. A post-credits scene teased the arrival of Thanos' Black Order, which will presumably lead to the battered version of the God of Thunder who thumps into the side of the Milano.

It is still unclear where in the movie the Thor/Guardians exchange takes place, but Thor doesn't appear to be part of the action when Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange meet with the intergalactic rogues. Given that Thor and Iron Man haven't shared the screen since 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, here's hoping the two MCU giants get to meet up again during the events of Infinity War.

Alongside Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Chris Evans as Captain America, Hemsworth helped lead Phase 1 of the MCU to box office glory, so it is only right that he has an equally major role this time around. In addition to forging his very own new weapon after Mjolnir bit the dust in Ragnarok, Infinity War could see the return of the Revengers and set up Thor 4/Ragnarok 2. Taika Waititi's 2017 move saw a big change in Thor thanks to the loss of his father and then his kingdom, but it is great that even stars like Downey Jr. have noticed the character development for the God of Thunder.
