Who did the Black Hood kill on Riverdale? The masked serial killer was introduced in the show's first season and killed at least eight people, but injured a number of others. The Black Hood was the mysterious figure that shot Fred Andrews (Luke Perry) at Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe in the season 1 finale, but his reign of terror was only just beginning at that time.

The unknown assailant went on to kill a number of others and served as Riverdale's main antagonist throughout the second season. The Black Hood was falsely identified, and so, he was able to carry out his killings the following season unimpeded. Before he returned to his murder spree, Betty (Lili Reinhart) found out that the real Black Hood was her father Hal Cooper (Lochlyn Munro). It turned out, the urge to kill could be in the Cooper blood as Hal's father was another town serial killer, the Riverdale Reaper.

Hal claimed that he was inspired by Betty's speech about getting the town of Riverdale back on track. Therefore, he decided to target Riverdale's wrongdoers as an act of justice. His reasoning behind his terrifying acts started to get twisted as time went on. Besides Fred, Hal had many other run-ins with Riverdale citizens while acting as the Black Hood including Archie (KJ Apa), Chic (Hart Denton), Hermione (Marisol Nichols), Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch), and Alice (Mädchen Amick). Thankfully, they made it out alive, but some of the others weren't so lucky. Here are all of the Black Hood's victims throughout his time on Riverdale.

Geraldine Grundy - The high school music teacher was revealed to be having an affair with Archie in Riverdale season 1. She was forced to quit her job and leave town, so she moved to Greendale and continued giving private music lessons. Geraldine (Sarah Habel) was having an affair with Ben Button, another one of her underage students. One night after he left, the Black Hood snuck into her house and strangled Geraldine to death with her own cello bow.

Midge Klump - Shortly after the Black Hood killed Geraldine Grundy, he went after Moose Mason (Cody Kearsley) and Midge Klump (Emilija Baranac). They both survived the attack but then sent out a warning to the rest of Riverdale that he was planning on going after the town's sinners. Archie took down who he thought was the Black Hood but that was revealed not to be the case later in season 2. During the musical performance of Carrie, Midge was stabbed to one of the set pieces. Her death was revealed to the fellow cast members and the audience with a note confirming the Black Hood's return.

Robert Phillips - Robert Phillips (Robert Baker) wasn't just a teacher at Southside High, he was the secret druglord named the Sugarman. The Black Hood once tasked Betty with finding out the true identity of the Sugarman so that the serial killer could punish him for his sins. Robert was eventually caught and put in jail for supplying drugs to Riverdale residents. The Black Hood found him in his jail cell and pointed a gun at the man, killing him.

Joseph Svenson - The man who was actually born Joseph Conway (Cameron McDonald), served as the janitor at Riverdale High. He was unmasked as the Black Hood by Archie in season 2 and later shot in the chest by Sheriff Keller (Martin Cummins). The man wasn't the actual Black Hood, however. During Archie and Betty's investigation, the real Black Hood forced Joseph to wear the hood and attack them. He was manipulated by the Black Hood and got killed in the process.

Steven Masters - Dr. Masters (Kwesi Ameyawl) worked at Riverdale General Hospital and was at work during the season 2 riots. Hal Cooper was one of the patients at the time and Dr. Masters was asking a lot of questions. The doctor was completely unaware that Hal was the Black Hood. Hal didn't like the questions being asked so he slit Dr. Masters' throat and let him bleed out.

3 Riverdale Prom attendees - In Riverdale season 3, Hal faked his death and escaped the prison bus. He returned to face his daughter at Riverdale's prom. While back in his Black Hood attire, Hal stalked Betty through the school as she encountered the dead bodies of three classmates. Betty managed to escape to safety but she encountered her father again in Riverdale season 3 finale. During the quest set up by Penelope Blossom (Nathalie Boltt), Betty was tasked with killing her father but she didn't want to be like him. Instead, Penelope shot and killed him, revealing that she was the true mastermind behind the Black Hood this whole time.
