Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray) performs Cole Porter's "Anything Goes" in a music video from tomorrow's Riverdale season 3 episode, "As Above, So Below". While Josie started out singing with her band The Pussycats on The CW's Archie Comics TV series, the character has since begun to work on her solo career as a musician. Riverdale, for its part, has continuously made room for Josie to perform a variety of song covers and even had her (along with the other members of the Riverdale High cheerleading squad) tackle Elvis Presley's "Jailhouse Rock", this past week.

As it turns out, "As Above, So Below" will afford Josie a (literally) new platform to show off her singing voice. Riverdale fans might recall that Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) revealed her plan to open a speakeasy back in the season 2 finale, at the same time that she made a deal with her father Hiram (Mark Consuelos) that led to her gaining ownership of Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe. Veronica will launch her newest business venture - the La Bonne Nuit - in this week's episode, with Josie lending a helping hand by performing "Anything Goes" as part of a burlesque routine during opening night.

The CW has now released the official music video of Josie performing "Anything Goes" online, ahead of tomorrow's Riverdale episode. Check it out in the space below.

Say what you will about Riverdale, but the show definitely isn't lacking when it comes to pulpy atmosphere and visuals. The series has only further embraced its noir and crime drama elements in season 3, between its True Detective-inspired storyline involving the mysterious Gargoyle King and Veronica's ongoing struggle for power with Hiram - the latter of which has already resulted in Archie (K.J. Apa) being framed and imprisoned for committing murder by Hiram, as a way to punish his daughter. A plot thread involving a speakeasy where the "classy clientele [are] dressed to the nines drinking mocktails" (as the synopsis for this week's episode puts it) doesn't seem at all out of place in the show's strangely stylized noir setting, either.

Of course, this being Riverdale, Veronica's attempts to launch the La Bonne Nuit end up running into a "series of suspicious roadblocks" that threaten to derail the whole thing, in spite of Josie's show-stopping performance on opening night. Still, it's good to see that even with everything else happening on season 3 right now (including, a separate narrative thread that involves The Town With Pep's parents having encountered The Gargoyle King when they were younger), Riverdale is still taking the time to allow Josie and her musical talents to shine in the spotlight.
