A new trailer for Prime Video's Lord of the Rings television show The Rings of Power has been released. The streamer has been in development on Rings of Power for several years after former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos famously declared that he wanted Prime Video to have the "next Game of Thrones." After securing the rights to JRR Tolkien's storied franchise, Amazon has been in development on what is expected to be the most expensive television show ever made. As Rings of Powers gears up to release later this summer, the streamer has unveiled many first looks at the highly anticipated series.

From the Rings of Power trailer that gave audiences their first glimpse at Middle-earth's Second Age, to images, story details, and posters, audiences are in no shortage of content that's teasing the epic scale of the show. Still, much remains mysterious about Rings of Power, including story details beyond the broad strokes. Of course, it is known that the Lord of the Rings prequel show will track Sauron's first rise to power and likely culminate in his first defeat, but it's the time in between that is open to interpretation.

Now, a new Rings of Power trailer has been released. The trailer begins with Galadriel's narration as the young elf says, "There was a time when the world was so young, there had not been a sunrise." From there, the Rings of Power trailer introduces Elves, Dwarves, Men, and Harfoots, with one of the Harfoots declaring, "We're safe." Of course, that's not exactly the case - Galadriel begins discussing the visions of evil she has seen and the trailer begins evoking the deep reds and oranges that are most closely associated with Sauron, giving glimpses of the battle to come. Check out the Rings of Power trailer below:

Like the first Rings of Power trailer, this new clip shows off the epic scale of the Prime Video series, but, more importantly, it also delves into the story a bit more, giving audiences an idea of what they can expect when Tolkien's world returns to screens later this year. In one early moment, Galadriel is told to hang up her sword, with young Elrond telling her she has fought long enough. According to the Elf, though, "The enemy is still out there," and that's when things get a bit evil. "You have not seen what I have seen," she says, and audiences are given a look at battle carnage that once again evokes the presence of Sauron.

Although the Rings of Power doesn't give a clear look at the infamous Lord of the Rings villain, his presence is felt throughout the video. While there are plenty of moving parts, it's clear Galadriel will be at the center of the conflict in Rings of Power and her job may be to convince everyone else that something is not quite right as Sauron's evil rises. Finally, the last shot of the Rings of Power trailer is sure to evoke excitement from any Lord of the Rings fan. Four Harfoots can be seen walking across a grassy field, evoking Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin's departure from the Shire. While it's unclear what the Harfoot's role will be in the show, the callback is an exciting one and ties into the overarching look of the latest trailer that harks back to the original Peter Jackson trilogy. Rings of Power is set to premiere on Prime Video on September 2.
