Rick and Morty season 4 just joined HBO Max, meaning all episodes of the show are now available to stream. The popular animated series airs on Adult Swim and was created by Dan Harmon, the mind behind NBC's CommunityRick and Morty follows the title characters, who are grandfather and grandson, as well as the rest of their family members. As Rick is a mad scientist, he and Morty often go on adventures, including to different realities. This sets Rick and Morty apart from other family animated comedies.

As of now, the series has aired four seasons and 41 episodes total. However, in 2018, 70 more episodes of Rick and Morty were ordered, which means more seasons are on the way. Rick and Morty season 5 doesn't have a premiere date yet, but a first look at the new season debuted during this summer's San Diego Comic-Con. Additionally, Harmon has said the coronavirus-fueled shutdown has actually made season 5 better, as working remotely has kept the show on schedule. Hopefully, this means viewers won't have to wait too long for the new season.

Rick & Morty Season 4 Episode Titles Mock Alien, Star Wars & Other Sci-Fi Movies

Though HBO Max houses original content and has received a lot of attention for the upcoming Justice League Snyder Cut, existing series like Rick and Morty make up a large chunk of its library. Even before launch, the streamer became known for its expensive deals to acquire streaming rights to shows like The Big Bang Theory. HBO Max also established itself as the go-to source for Friends content, featuring all episodes of the show and planning an upcoming reunion special. Though Rick and Morty may not have the same number of fans as other well-known shows, acquiring the streaming rights was a smart move for HBO Max. Many who use the service are likely looking for an alternative to more mainstream comedies, and Rick and Morty delivers on that front.

Viewers should be excited they can now check out Rick and Morty in its entirety in one place. Season 4's debut on HBO Max will also provide a nice distraction during the wait for a season 5 premiere date announcement. Revisiting Rick and Morty's most recent season is a great way to keep up excitement about the show's return.
