Rick And Morty: Jerry's Game is a mobile game that intentionally trolls players. Adult Swim is behind any number of beloved animated series, including Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Robot Chicken, but the arrival of Rick And Morty in 2013 took things to the next level. The show follows the title characters, with Rick being an unrivaled but deeply troubled scientific genius and Morty being his meek grandson. While the worlds they visit are colorful and loaded with entertaining characters, their adventures often end in gore or emotional trauma - though usually a mixture of both.

Rick And Morty quickly built a following thanks to its fantastic comic writing and performances, in addition to some genuinely interesting sci-fi concepts. The series was co-created by Justin Roiland - who also voices the titular duo - and Dan Harmon (Community). The show has technically run for four seasons, though only half of season 4 has been aired thus far. The show famously takes a while to produce one season, but given that Adult Swim gave the greenlight to 70 more episodes in 2018, there should be plenty more to enjoy in the years ahead.

Given the cult that's built around Rick And Morty, it's no surprise the show spawned other merchandise like comics, toys and even chia pets. The series has also spawned some mobile titles like Pocket Mortys and Rick And Morty: Jerry's Game for Android and iOS. Fans of the show may cast their minds back to season 1's "Something Ricked This Way Comes" where Jerry is seen playing a game where all he does is pop balloons that appear onscreen.

That's literally all Rick And Morty: Jerry's Game is, where players pop balloons, win points, then pop more balloons. Occasionally, Rick, Morty or other characters will pop-up to congratulate Jerry on his progress and then encourage players to keep popping the balloons. There's no challenge or variation in the game, so it's hard to see people playing it beyond ten minutes, if that. It's essentially a troll release with the meta gag being its the only kind of game Jerry would enjoy, and his periodic "victories" only make it more hilarious since they're so pointless.

On that level, it's funny but Rick And Morty: Jerry's Game isn't much fun to play as an actual video game. It's still unknown when Rick And Morty season 4 will air its remaining episodes, but given that Harmon and Roiland love a good troll - as the game itself proves - it will likely drop when people least expect it.
