It was recently confirmed that The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams would be replacing The Real Housewives of New York City’s former cast member, Tinsley Mortimer, in The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip season 3. Porsha first appeared on RHOA in season 5 as the wife to former NFL star Kordell Stewart. The two butted heads over Porsha’s desire to work, while he wanted her to be a stay-at-home mom. Porsha and Kordell eventually divorced in 2013, and she went on to build a successful career while raising her daughter Pilar, whom she had with Dennis McKinley.
Tinsley was a well-known socialite before she joined RHONY season 9. During her time on the show, she expressed a desire to have children but was unable to find her forever partner. Previously married to Topper Mortimer, the two divorced after eight years of marriage. During an RHONY episode, Tinsley met Scott Kluth on a blind date set up by her castmate Carole Radziwil. Although the pair started hot and heavy, their relationship became filled with breakups and makeups. Scott eventually proposed to Tinsley, and midway through RHONY season 12, she left the show and moved to Chicago. Unfortunately, their engagement ended when Scott blindsided Tinsley by breaking up with her.
The RHUGT season 3 cast was recently revealed, and Tinsley was slated to star in it, along with her RHONY castmate Leah McSweeney. However, a last-minute change was made to replace Tinsley with Porsha. Tinsley reportedly left due to “personal reasons,” and while fans were excited to see what was going on in her life, they were happy about the addition of Porsha. When Porsha first joined RHOA season 5, fans were on the fence about her, especially after not knowing what the Underground Railroad was. However, Porsha’s snappy comebacks and witty commentary quickly made her a fan favorite.
There was never a shortage of drama with Porsha on RHOA. Her feud with Kenya Moore started over an innocent mistake over a “Miss America” comment that escalated over time. Porsha also started a major feud with Kandi Buruss after she accused the “No Scrubs” producer and writer of planning to drug her and take her to the “sex dungeon.” It was later revealed that Kandi’s former BFF and RHOA castmate Phaedra Parks had spread the rumor, and it took a long time for Kandi to forgive Porsha. Fans also can’t forget the Bolo incident during RHOA season 13, which left many fans speculating if Porsha had sex with the stripper.
Porsha left RHOA following season 13 and went on to star in her own spinoff, Porsha’s Family Matters. However, Porsha’s behavior on the show left fans bashing the reality star and predicting it would be a one-and-done season. Despite the negative press, fans continue to talk about Porsha, while Tinsley has remained under the radar.
