Mary Cosby has once again shocked The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fans with her words on the show. According to new reports, Mary got the boot ahead of RHOSLC season 3 after bailing on the season 2 reunion. Although Mary's fate as a Salt Lake City cast member is basically sealed, the religious leader is still speaking her mind on episodes of the current season. As she has in past episodes, Mary's latest statements on the show have sparked some outrage.
Mary was called out for comparing housewife Jen Shah to a "Mexican thug" after she was arrested by the feds ahead of the ladies' cast trip to Vail. Fans were disappointed in the racist comment, prompting Mary to issue an apology. However, not long after in the show, Mary made a comment about her co-star Jennie Nguyen's "slanted eyes." Jennie, who is Vietnamese, took offense to Mary's remarks and confronted her about it, only for Mary to seemingly double down and disregard the way her comment made Jennie feel. Mary's latest jab on RHOSLC continues her trend of saying offensive things on the show and fans are condemning her inappropriate comment.
While the RHOSLC ladies' trip to Zion National Park descended into madness, Mary and housewife Heather Gay feuded over their differences. After retreating to their vacation home, Mary looked on Heather at their outdoor dinner table and rattled off her negative thoughts about her enemy. "Heather with her little judgmental self," Mary said, per @oh_chadwick. "She has the snobbiness of a true Mormon. She don't even know she look inbred." The comment elicited a big reaction from fans. "I spit out my drink when she said this," one Twitter user wrote, adding they couldn't believe Mary is the head of her church. "She is cruel." Another fan agreed on Twitter, "That inbred comment was not something a 'woman of God' would say."
Other viewers called out the irony in Mary's insult about Heather being inbred after Heather called Mary out for marrying her "step-granddaddy" at their dinner party. "Mary, married my step-grandfather, Cosby has the audacity to say [Heather]looks like an 'inbred Mormon?'" one fan wrote on Twitter. "Oh, honey have a million seats, please!"
As for if Heather was truly offended by Mary's "inbred" comment, that's not the first time the ex-Mormon's bloodline has been insulted. When Heather and her good friend Whitney Rose discovered they shared pioneer ancestors, housewife Lisa Barlow chided that the two were "inbred cousins." Mary's insult, however, comes as part of a trend of attacks on Heather. Because Mary did not attend The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 2 reunion, it's unlikely fans will ever see Heather confront her co-star about the inappropriate statement.
