The Real Housewives of New York City's Luann de Lesseps revealed she would like to see a Playboy edition with the Real Housewives. The mother of two and RHONY star revealed that she would be the first in line to sign up for the iconic magazine. Fans are aware she was a catalog model back in her heyday, but it looks like the reality star may be thinking about stripping down again.
Not many women would choose to bare it all on one of the most recognizable magazine covers in the world. But in May 1990, that is exactly what The Real Housewives of New York's de Lesseps as she held her arms around a hunky Texas cowboy. The "Men of Texas" issue of Playgirl featured a young Luann Nadeau.
The RHONY countess revealed a bit of a playful side while speaking on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast. While discussing a recent Instagram picture of herself that she snapped while filming The Real Housewives All-Stars, fans had a couple of ideas. The former model posted a snap of herself covered in clay while sporting her tiny bikini. The host quickly asked if she would ever think about posing nude for the iconic magazine, and the answer may just surprise you. Check out the interview below:
If Playboy founder Hugh Hefner was still alive, he might have thought twice about asking a housewife to pose naked, but de Lesseps told listeners that she would do it, saying, “I would, I would do it a hundred percent. If they would say, 'We're going to do a Housewives this year,' I would totally sign up for that." RHONY's star De Lesseps did have a few prerequisites about posing in her birthday suit, saying it would need to be done tastefully (that’s what they all say). The Bravo personality then joked, "Cause money can't buy you class, but it can buy you Playboy."
Fans are not sure there is a market for the housewives within the pages of Playboy, but the cabaret singer is going to have her agent look into it. De Lesseps would not be the first to grace the cover, as fellow co-star Kelly Bensimon posed in 2010. Jeana Keough was Playmate of the Month in 1980, and Joanna Krupa was on the cover a whopping two times. Fans may also remember that Camille Grammer was in Playboy’s Book of Lingerie, and Lisa Rinna posed on the cover pregnant.
