Luann de Lesseps doesn't see why she wouldn't return to The Real Housewives of New York City season 14. Even though the Bravo series is known as one of the best of the franchise, season 13 had abnormally low ratings this year. Viewers didn't love the way Luann called the first Black cast member Eboni K. Williams "angry," as it was a microaggression. Fans also didn't like how Ramona Singer would always diminish Eboni and her thoughts on race and social injustice.

With all of this infighting between the cast — Ramona, Luann, and Leah McSweeney reportedly even walked away from Eboni at a press event for a Bravo tell-all book — RHONY season 13 didn't even have a reunion. There is even talk of putting the show on hiatus until they can refresh the already small cast with new women and hopefully make the show feel more current and interesting. While the season didn't go as well as fans had hoped, an eventual season 14 will likely be the reboot viewers need. However, that doesn't mean getting rid of certain cast members, one of them including Luann.

During an exclusive interview with People, Luann spoke about a potential RHONY shake-up, shutting down rumors that season 13 may have been her last. "I love the show and I've been on it for a long time," the reality star told the publication while promoting her new alcohol-free Fosé Rosé brand. "I can't see any reason why I wouldn't be on the show next season." Luann started on the show in 2008 as one of the original cast members along with Ramona. While the cabaret singer knows she can't be on the show forever, she has no plan on leaving anytime soon. "I'll cross that bridge when I get to it," Luann said of her eventual departure. However, her fans don't want to see Luann, who has a new holiday cabaret, go anywhere and are hoping she stays another season.

"People are like, 'Are you going to stay on for another season?' Et cetera," Luann continued. "We'll see." Once Luann is ready to say goodbye to RHONY, she plans to continue with her cabaret shows as well as in the entertainment business. "I love so much being creative with my cabaret, and I love my work in television [...] I used to work for Italian television," she said. Luann enjoys the creative aspect of putting her cabaret show together and interacting with all her fans as a result of her time on RHONY. She has been about to create a thriving performance show that she hopes to do for a long time after Housewives. Luann's many cabaret shows have been such a gift to her, and hopes to continue her passion project turned a career in her future.

Despite the rumors of a cast reboot, Luann believes she will return to The Real Housewives of New York City for season 14. Luann has been a fan favorite for quite so time, with many viewers unable to imagine the show without her. Even though Bravo is currently cast for the new season, it seems very likely that Luann will make a return.
