Why is it so difficult for The Real Housewives of New York City's fans to like Luann De Lesseps? The Countess has an air about her that does not help her connect with her fans, we're going to unpackage it now.

The cameras have followed around the confident women of New York City since 2008. The tall brunette was first the most unliked cast member on the show. She often acted pretentious even putting on a bit of an accent. But after her divorce, she seemed to return to her former self and act as equal to the rest of her cast members. Sadly, thanks to her cabaret fame, equality did not last long.

On Thursday’s all-new episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, fans watched as once again Countess Luann lost her cool when she was told she would be staying in the basement. She has been known to have issues with Dorinda Medley’s dish room in her Massachusetts estate as well as every time the girls go on a vacation like in Vermont back in 2017. The mother of two has an arrogance about her that fans are frankly sick and tired of. She always blames the other women for not being thoughtful enough.

Luann De Lesseps Real Housewives of New York

The entitled housewife took it upon herself to leave in the middle of the night and send an out of control text to Dorinda and Ramona Singer. The message explained that it was not the “fish room part two” but she did not like that she was told she either had to share a bathroom with a new girl she did not know or be banished to the basement that smelled like dog pee. Fans found it hard to believe that Ramona’s mansion would smell of pee as she takes pride in her home. Audiences find it very hard to feel empathy for a woman who has had more money in one year than most have had in their life.

Fans have grown tired of making excuses for Luann and really wish she would have left the show instead of Bethenny Frankel. While the reality star did have a rough year after divorcing her second husband and getting arrested, she does not seem to have learned any type of lesson on how to treat others. The world is either for Luann or against, there does not seem to be a middle ground.

The ungrateful theme has worn thin with fans and the women as many wonder what makes Luann more important than anyone else? The nail in the coffin was how Luann signed off her message as she wrote: “goodbye from the lower level.” The Countess may have felt rejected but most Bravo viewers pointed out that she still lives a very luxurious lifestyle and should be thankful she can afford to have her own house in the Hamptons as well as friends who invite her to their mansions. She may have been humbled for all of ten seconds, thanks to her probation but the newly acquired self-reflection has worn off.
