Heather Thomson from The Real Housewives of New York revealed that she still enjoys sitting down and watching herself on the episodes, even though she has left the show. The mother of two particularly enjoyed the episode that revolved around her Berkshire home.
Fans learned that Heather would be making an appearance on RHONY season 13. Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, and Leah McSweeney have all signed on as well. After the departure of Tinsley Mortimer and Dorinda Medley, fans are thrilled to have a veteran back on the hit franchise. So many changes have been happening in the Bravosphere that it can be hard to keep up.
The entrepreneur sat down with the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast to share some fun facts from her time on the show. Heather revealed that she always appreciated the platform she was given, as it helped to make her Yummy Tummie brand popular. Heather revealed that during her first RHONY season, she was a "yellow belly" who was getting her sea legs.
The mother of two went on to tell the podcast host that being on the show was,"always a mystery. Like, I mean, for me, it's always fun to watch them when you're on them, and you would film them because you don't know what you're going to get either. You know what I mean? When they filmed me for that long, you know, and there's craft and editing and all that kind of stuff, you just have to be ready to have fun and be able to get beat up every now and then."
While the reality star seemed to be able to joke with herself, the RHONY alum made it clear she did not like "dirty games" when it came to filming. Heather revealed to listeners that by the time she left the show she "was tired of the antics and, I was tired of like, you know, the fake storylines or, you know, fights. I was selling my business at the time. I was not getting along with my partner at the time. I had a lot of really important things to focus on"
The exaggerated moments may have made for good TV, but seemed to leave a bad taste in Heather's mouth. The Real Housewives of New York star will have to prepare herself for some crazy drama and stories if she is going back. Ramona is still prepared to do whatever it takes to keep her spot, even though she may be aging out. It will be nice to see how former Real Housewife Heather connects with Leah, since they seem to be like-minded.
