On the latest episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, Dorinda Medley had a breakdown at the end of the apple picking trip and it just about broke fan’s hearts. The sassy housewife has always been strong, but this season is showing a different side to Medley.
Medley first joined the ladies of the Big Apple back in 2015 when season 7 aired. The outspoken blonde stole viewers' hearts as she often tried to right the world, one drink at a time. The reality star prides herself on being a great host as well as a great friend. Currently, fans are watching Medley struggle a bit in her life as she tries to navigate the waters of her love life and friendships.
Luann de Lesseps treated the ladies to a day in Upstate New York where they could breathe fresh air, pick apples, and break down over a cheese platter. Bravo fans have started to notice Dorinda is dealing with a lot lately and is unraveling just a little bit. In September, she broke up with her longtime boyfriend of seven years, John Mahdessian. She felt that the two had grown apart. She explained that there was no big fight, but she knew she had to move on.
As Medley spoke about the breakup to Ramona Singer on the hayride, she became upset as she explained she did not want people to think that by having her in their life was a detriment to them. She wanted to be remembered fondly. Singer comforted her friend assuring her no one thought of her that way. Earlier, she had a fight at the table with Tinsley Mortimer who was saying negative things under her breath. Medley felt that Mortimer’s life issues did not compare with hers. She opened up that at 55 years old, this was not what she planned for herself. She did not think she would have buried a husband and been single at this part of her life. She explained that when Richard died, she wanted to die and did not leave the bed for days. She awoke every morning to wine instead of coffee, causing her to almost become an alcoholic. Fans were shocked by the raw honesty Medley delivered and empathized with the reality star. Medley also pointed out that this was the first time she could properly grieve Richard as her daughter has moved out and she is fixing up her manor.
This season looks to be the season of change for Medley and fans are rooting for the Bravo personality to make it though. Fans saw a hint at next week with Singer trying to confront Medley about her anger, but naturally, the conversation takes a differnt turn.
