Everyone loves a little drama, and no reality show has more of it than The Real Housewives of New YorkAs the second spin-off in The Real Housewives franchise, this specific brand of reality TV goes above and beyond to keep its audience coming back. One of the most controversial aspects of the most recent season of RHONY is that it was the first time in Real Housewives history that there wasn't a reunion special at the end of a season. Despite the lack of a special reunion, season 13 still retains two original cast members from season 1: Luann and Ramona.

Perhaps one of the most exciting things that have kept the franchise, and RHONY in particular, on the air for so long is the unique personalities of the housewives that star in it. Looking back at the entire series, a few people stand out as the classic and most well-known cast members, who showed off their personalities across the series. However, each has a quote that goes against what fans have come to know and love about the cast.

Tinsley Mortimer

"Don't Let This Outfit Fool You: I've Got A Mugshot."

One of the most interesting cast members with a "troubled past," Tinsley Mortimer, once said, "don't let this outfit fool you: I've got a mugshot." And even though the first half of this quote is entirely something you'd expect to hear from Tinsley, the fact and the story behind her mugshot sounds like something from a storybook. Just looking at Tinsley, in her usual bright pink attire, it's clear that she is generally a positive light on the show.

Although she doesn't hide the fact that she was arrested, it's out of character for her to have been because she projects the image of a southern bell that could do no wrong. Allegedly trespassing at an old boyfriend's house is not the worst crime ever committed, but still, getting arrested is definitely something that's out of character for Tinsley.

Carole Radziwill

"If You’re Going To Talk About Me Behind My Back, At Least Check Out My Great A**"

The official princess of the group, Carole Radziwill, said, "if you’re going to talk about me behind my back, at least check out my great a**." This quote was in response to the other women talking behind her back, so she made this her tagline for season 6. What's out of character about this for Carole, is that it's not like her usual direct approach. She usually is honest and direct to the person about how she feels, rather than making a passive tagline in response to it.

However, one argument that this is in line with Carole's personality is that she's usually too above the drama to even involve herself in it by confronting those who talk about her. But, it's clear that she's not totally above it because she responds to it directly in this tagline.

Bethenny Frankel

"When I Have Sex With Jason On Camera, You Guys Should Start An Intervention."

Bethenny Frankel is often the funniest RHONY star, with her quick-witted responses, she's always ready to go. But one time she said, "when I have sex with Jason on camera, you guys should start an intervention." Bethenny usually always keeps it light, funny and loves making jokes about sex, and yet this quote actually sounds like a cry for help.

It's out of character for her to say something like this because it actually sounds like she feels she needs an intervention. Regardless, Bethenny is allowed to have her off days, and it's okay if this was a joke (and even if it wasn't).

Dorinda Medley

"Martinis Are Like Breasts: Two Are Great, Three Are Too Many."

Dorinda Medley, who was a strong presence and one of the Real Housewives cast members who left too soon, once said that "martinis are like breasts: two are great, three are too many." Considering it was about one to two times per episode that she would get drunk and start a fight with someone, it's interesting that she said this.

It's entirely out of character with her usual behavior and might make some question her ability to recall the "episodes" she has while she's intoxicated. Although, while some fans might argue that this is a moment of realization for Dorinda with a dash of self-awareness, it's still something that isn't in line with her normal ethos in life.

Sonja Morgan

"Get A Hobby. Go Walk Your Dog."

Although Sonja isn't an original cast member, her friendship with Romona and seemingly irreplaceability on the show make her appear as though she was there from the start. She once said on the show, "Get a hobby. Go walk your dog," which is curious considering she is one of the most in-your-face personalities of the entire franchise.

Known for going after someone else's man, as well as knowing at least one person randomly at an event, Sonja is notorious for involving herself in other people's business, making this quote entirely out of character for her.

Luann de Lesseps

"Be Cool. Don't Be All... Like, Uncool."

One of the two original cast members still on the show, Luann de Lesseps, also known as the Duchess, once said, "Be cool. Don't be all... Like, uncool." Luann is known for her shocking decisions, her singing skills, cabaret show, and referring to herself in the third person, Luann is perhaps one of the least "cool" stars on the show because of her inability to have any self-awareness.

So, it's interesting that she's telling someone else to be cool when that goes directly against her actions throughout the entire franchise. But, maybe that is in character with her personality, to be so out of touch that she is unable to realize that she is also, in fact, "uncool."

Ramona Singer

"Like A Fine Wine, I Just Get Better With Time."

The most controversial star of RHONY Ramona Singer, once actually said, "Like a fine wine, I just get better with time." This might be of the most iconic quotes from Ramona because she is known for getting more and more belligerent as the night goes on.

Although this quote might be consistent with her personality (similarly to Luann), in being unaware of how she comes across most of the time, this idea is inconsistent with her actual behavior. Known for making everything about herself as the night goes on, even at a dinner to celebrate a Jewish holiday in season 13, Ramona historically doesn't get better with time. This tagline may be one of the things Ramona will never live down in RHONY.
