Andy Cohen recently announced the big news that The Real Housewives of New York City will be getting an entirely new reboot along with a throwback show featuring past RHONY cast members, but he hinted that Ramona Singer may not be one of the returning stars. Andy's announcement for future RHONY plans was met with a lot of excitement, as fans were waiting to see what would happen to the franchise. RHONY season 13 was met with low ratings and disappointment from fans. After the reunion got canceled, which was the first to ever happen in Real Housewives history, Bravo announced that the franchise would take a hiatus.

Many RHONY fans were left wondering what was going to happen to the show. The Real Housewives of Miami was on for three seasons before going off-air due to low ratings. RHOM came back five years later for a reboot on the Peacock network and is doing surprisingly well. The Real Housewives of Dallas sadly got canceled after five seasons due to low ratings and a racism-fueled feud between RHOD stars Tiffany Moon and Cameron Wescott. There has been no talk of bringing either franchise back.

Fortunately, RHONY being one of the longest-running shows on Bravo will be slated for a comeback. Andy shared that the Bravo executives decided to start fresh with brand new faces that were unknown to television. However, they didn’t want to forego the original housewives that fans have loved for thirteen seasons. Andy said that the RHONY throwback show would feature “people who are beloved by fans.” This may mean that Ramona is not going to be one of them, as fans have found her increasingly intolerable. The RHONY season 13 reunion was canceled because Ramona allegedly made a racist remark to Eboni K. Williams. Bravo had to launch an investigation that delayed production and they decided to scrap the reunion.

RHONY fans were disappointed that the reunion was canceled, as they wanted Ramona to take accountability for her actions during season 13. During Eboni’s Black Shabbat dinner, the guests were trying to talk about their struggles as Black people and the discrimination they faced. Ramona hijacked the conversation by saying how she faced prejudice in college by Jewish people for being a Christian. She also undermined a woman’s story about being denied meds at a hospital for being Black by saying that it happened to her too. Fans were outraged at Ramona’s clueless behavior and urged Bravo to fire her from RHONY.

Ramona got a lot of heat for her off-camera behavior as well. She was spotted without a mask at a Broadway play in November 2021 in a theater that required all patrons to wear masks. Even though Ramona is an OG of RHONY, fans got tired of her behavior. Andy Cohen shared that Bravo is listening to their fans on what they want from The Real Housewives of New York City and Ramona getting axed might be included.
