RHONY Bethenny Frankle has launched help for the coronavirus victims. The New Yorker wasted no time stepping in and using her own resources to help her city in need.

The ex-New York City housewife founded her BStrong charity in 2017 to be able to help in times of trouble when it comes to natural disasters. The 49-year-old entrepreneur made her mark in the charity world when her crew was one of the first to arrive in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria made landfall as a category 4 storm. Her foundation was also an integral part of the relief for Hurricane Dorian, which made landfall in the Bahamas as a category 5 storm.

With the World Health Organization upgrading the virus to a pandemic, many people around the world are having to adjust to a very different way of life. Many countries are shutting down non-essential parts of their governments and encouraging citizens to self-quarantine. Now BStrong is stepping up again to help those in need that have been affected by the coronavirus. According to Yahoo, the businesswoman is working with Global Empowerment Missions to help educate and protect people from COVID-19. The foundation is helping assemble hydration and sanitization kits for many citizens who can not compete with the price gouging and the hoarding. Frankle and her foundation have also already raised $50,000 to start to be able to provide cash cards to families in need.

The reality star shared with the outlet that people are scared at how quickly the crisis took a turn for the worse. She revealed that her 9-year-old daughter, Brun, was the reason she decided to get involved. Her daughter’s school was giving parents the option to take them out of school, realizing that many New York City public schools were makeshift daycares for the many parents that were still forced to go to work. The dire straits struck a chord with the Bravo personality, who felt sad that some are children were less fortunate and forced to be in school even if their parents might not want them to attend. Frankle explained, “I’m no expert on infectious diseases, but I am a mother and a New Yorker, and instead of living in my own anxieties and fear, I can help less fortunate parents in dealing with theirs.”

Instead of sitting at home and wallowing, the BStrong founder is getting up and encouraging others to help out. Her BStrong coronavirus kits, according to her, are vital for families to have to help stop the spread of the virus. The foundation's goal is to create 20,000 kits to be able to distribute them to poverty-stricken areas. Fans of the real housewife are happy to see her taking action, hopefully inspiring others to chip in and help.
