The newest star on The Real Housewives of New York City, Bershan Shaw, is spilling the tea on her castmates. Bershan Shaw joined the hit series' 13th season as a "friend of." The 47-year-old was added to the cast following Dorinda Medley's exit. Her casting was first rumored in the fall before she officially joined in March. Now, she's sharing which members of the cast she is actually friends with.

The Bravo series isn't Bershan's first time on reality TV. She previously appeared on OWN's Love in the City. The cancer survivor is the show's second Black star, alongside fellow season 13 newbie Eboni K. Williams. Bershan already made an impression by dubbing some of the cast "a little bit boring" and "grandmas" during the trip to Salem, Massachusetts. After that memorable moment on the Tuesday, July 6, episode, the Unstoppable Warrior Woman author didn't hold back when discussing her favorite co-stars.

Bershan told Page Six that she "clicks with" with Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan, the show's two biggest stars. “I love Ramona; she’s a straight shooter, I’m a straight shooter. I’m in your face, Ramona’s bold." The motivational speaker continued, "Some may hate us, some may love us, but I can only be authentic and real. I’m going to say it like it is.” Bershan's praise of Ramona isn't exactly shocking, as the business coach previously defended her as "not a racist." She has stuck by the Ageless By Ramona founder throughout the headline-making feud with Eboni. Meanwhile, "Sonja is just fun,” Bershan said of the designer. “And I’m so like, loud, big, fun, over the top. So we get along." It's not just about fun, as the "multipreneur" also discusses business with Sonja. “I definitely text Sonja,” she continued, “Sonja and I talk about business and stocks and stuff like that. She’s like, ‘Alright, you need to invest in this.’ I’m like, ‘Alright, look at that.'”

While she didn't name names, Bershan admitted things weren't as rosy with some other castmates. "I had some bumps in the road with some other girls," she shared, "But the good stuff, [is that] you know, in the end…you’re different and then you learn each other more.” The season has been defined by its arguments about privilege and racism. Of the housewives in general, the businesswoman observed, "They can scream, they laugh, they do all this stuff and they come back together like [they’re] still friends. And it’s like, ‘Alright, come on. Let’s go have a cocktail. Let’s go to dinner.'”

While she is a "friend of" for now, does Bershan see herself as an official housewife in the future? “Never say never...I like the girls. I had a lot of fun, so I can never say never. I got a lot on my plate, but I like the girls. In the end, it was a roller coaster, believe me. You’re going to see!” With fans already loving the podcaster's energy, it certainly seems likely that she could join the cast full-time.
