Teresa Giudice finally revealed that her loyalty to The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Dina Cantina is why she didn't invite Dolores Catania to her engagement party. Teresa admitted to snubbing Dolores during the season 12 reunion. She initially claimed it was because Dolores never double-dated with Teresa and Luis Ruelas. Now that the reunion has aired, Teresa is confessing the real reason why Dolores was snubbed.
Dolores has been a close friend and ally of Teresa's since joining RHONJ season 7. The two have a history dating back to their youth growing up in New Jersey. But with Dolores being a housewife, she's developed her own bonds with the other ladies, despite the feuds Teresa has within the cast. Leading up to the RHONJ season 12 reunion, Teresa stopped by Watch What Happens Live and teased her wedding plans. She revealed that no one from the cast would be serving as a bridesmaid, including Dolores and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga. During the reunion, Dolores revealed that she wasn't invited to Teresa's engagement party. Teresa claimed it was over her fiancé not really getting to know Dolores and her spouse.
However, now Teresa is admitting why Dolores got snubbed from the big event. “I know her and Dina do not speak,” Teresa revealed on Christian Gray Snow’s The Slut Pig Podcast. Teresa explained that she's been able to maintain close friendships with both ladies, despite their dislike for each other. “Dina’s in California, Dolores is here," Teresa said. "So I can have relationships with both of them.” She also credited her feuding friends for not bad-mouthing each other when they are with her. “Dina never tells me anything about Dolores and vice versa," Teresa shared. "Dolores doesn’t say anything about Dina.”
Teresa didn't think it would be a big deal to not invite Dolores to the “small” and “intimate" engagement party because “she’s gonna be at the wedding, and she’ll be fine,’” she said. Dolores took the high road when discussing the snub during the reunion. She continued to support Teresa, saying it was her day and her main focus is on Teresa's happiness. Dolores' scarred history with Dina is something she's touched on lightly in the past. “Maybe they think you know too much about them, or maybe they’re not who they say they are," Dolores said in reference to Dina relocating to California on the Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino podcast in February 2021.
Teresa being stuck in the middle of two friends who don't speak is a tough dilemma. Everyone will certainly play nice at the wedding. It will be the first wedding Teresa shares on The Real Housewives of New Jersey and the first wedding on the franchise. Leave it up to Teresa to make history as the first RHONJ bride. Now all she has to worry about is getting her feuding friends to be on their best behavior for her big day.
