Teresa Giudice is fighting back against fans who say the The Real Housewives of New Jersey star and her fiancé are moving too fast and his motives might not be pure. When the show first started, Teresa was very happily married to Joe Giudice. While fans didn't always like the way he treated her, Teresa promised he was a great husband to her. Everything changed once Joe broke the law, resulting in both him and Teresa spending time in prison. When his prison sentence was over, Joe was deported to Italy and the two of them decided they should get a divorce. After the death of her parents, Teresa became more vocal about her anger towards Joe and the position he put her in.
Not too long after announcing their decision to divorce, Teresa revealed she was in a new relationship. During a trip to the Jersey Shore, Teresa and Luis Ruelas met, and the rest is history. There was speculation from the whole cast regarding whether or not Teresa had a new man all season and he finally made his first appearance in the season 11 finale. While Teresa seemed happy in her new relationship, fans were concerned about Luis' motives in pursuing her. There were cheating rumors early on, as well as revelations of abuse allegations from the past. Others feel as if he is only pursuing her for the fame and exposure she could provide him.
Teresa is now sticking up for her fiancé amid all the fan scrutiny. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Teresa told fans to mind their own business and focus on their own happiness. She encouraged her fans to stop questioning her relationship and start wishing her happiness because the best way for happiness to find you is if by wishing happiness onto others. Teresa begged the fans to leave them alone assuring them that no matter what they do, they won't be able to break the two of them up. Then, the New Jersey Housewife reminded everyone that she is a strong woman who doesn't back down easily and expressed sadness over the fact that he is being scrutinized because he is with her. She said because of this, she will always try her hardest to protect him from everything — and we all know that Teresa has had a lot of practice at protecting her image with over 12 years of being on the show.
In regards to Luis' motives when entering into this relationship, Teresa assures her fans he had no ulterior motives. She claims he is not the type of person who wants to be on television. In fact, according to Teresa, he only makes appearances on the show in support of her, otherwise, he couldn't be less interested in being on TV. Teresa is also stunned by the rumor that he purposely went to the Jersey Shore hoping to run into her. She added that even her kids are surprised by how similar they are, and how well they get along. The Bravo OG assured fans that she and Luis both understand each other really well and that he is a gentleman who wears his heart on his sleeve.
