All is not well in the Garden State as Melissa Gorga may be losing her title as a housewife thanks to The Real Housewives of New Jersey's OG, Teresa Giudice. The two ladies have never been the best of friends, but for a while, fans thought they had moved past their issues for their families. Sadly, Teresa still isn't over some of their past issues.
Even though Melissa and Teresa, who ended their relationship, are sisters-in-law, they are not close and don't even consider one another friends. The two have been competing since Melissa and Joe Gorga joined RHONJ season 3 in 2011. While some believe Teresa was jealous of Melissa for having a better marriage, others have felt that Melissa stepped on Teresa's toes by accepting Bravo's invitation to join RHONJ. For over a decade, loyal RHONJ followers have watched the ebbs and flows of both women as the feud has only gained momentum with time.
According to a source via Reality Blurb, Melissa could be in big trouble when it comes to her contract as a RHONJ cast member. A confidant close to RHONJ's Teresa, who went to Greece for her honeymoon, let it slip that the mother of four would love to see Melissa get the boot, noting that the OG allegedly gave Bravo an "ultimatum." Teresa reportedly told the network they would have to let Melissa go if they wanted to keep her and her drama. The source went on to say, "It's a pretty ballsy move on Teresa's part, but she's had it with Melissa and her brother." It would be hard for the network to argue since, season after season, Teresa has delivered very entertaining television.
The source could not confirm if Bravo had decided to give in to Teresa's demands, but it would be a first if they agreed. The source only would say that Melissa's popularity on RHONJ has been wavering. For years, RHONJ's Teresa, who has a podcast, has continued to push false rumors about Melissa, including one about her being a stripper and another about her having an affair behind Joe's back. Melissa has also stated that she needs a break from her family issues revealing on her podcast, Melissa Gorga On Display, that she and Joe were ready to cut the toxicity out of their lives, sharing they had to "let it go."
RHONJ star is reportedly trying to intimidate Bravo, but it seems she holds the cards. Teresa filmed a limited series for the network that showcased her wedding to Luis Ruelas over the summer, so Bravo may give in to Teresa. Up until The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 13, the cast has not changed, meaning their cast is a success. However, if Teresa does get her wish, who knows what will happen?
