Lenny Hochstein officially filed for divorce from Lisa Hochstein one week after The Real Housewives of Miami star confirmed their split. It's been a rough couple of weeks for the divorcing couple. Lenny confirmed their breakup one week after they fueled breakup rumors following a nightclub showdown. There had been rumors that the end was near for the Hochsteins.
Lisa unconsciously set the stage for the impending divorce during the RHOM season 4 reunion. She broke down in tears while revealing Lenny's past "emotional affair" with another woman. It came after fans picked up on the tension between the couple, despite how desperately Lisa worked to receive affection from the plastic surgeon. As the ladies film RHOM season 5, reports surfaced about the melee that ensued after Lisa and Larsa Pippen confronted Lenny and his new girlfriend, Katharina Mazepa, at the Gala nightclub in Miami. While the cameras weren't rolling, Lisa reportedly got into Katharina's face and a glass was thrown. One week later, Lenny confirmed that he was divorcing Lisa.
On Friday, Lenny moved forward with the official divorce filing, Page Six reported. Lenny cited “irreconcilable differences” in the filing, claiming the reason for his filing is because their 12-year “marriage is irretrievably broken and there is no present hope for a meaningful reconciliation," the court documents stated. The legal filing claimed both parties agreed to “dissolve their marriage at least a month ago.” Lenny also noted the prenuptial agreement they signed prior to their October 2009 wedding that guarantees Lisa spousal support. When it comes to their two young children--son Logan, 6, and daughter Elle, 2--Lenny requested “frequent time-sharing” with the kids and agreed to “fully provide for all of the children’s needs.”
Lenny denied Lisa's claims of being "blindsided" by the divorce and said they had been sleeping in separate rooms for months. His girlfriend, Katharina, also shut down claims that she was the cause of the divorce. The 26-year-old model said that she and Lenny are both going through divorces, and their previous romances ended when they started dating. Lisa responded to Katharina's claims and said Lenny has been lying to both of them. Lisa has placed her focus on their children amid the split. But considering her response to Lenny dating Kathrina, it's likely the Bravo star was not aware the marriage was over.
Despite the nightclub showdown not being filmed, the ladies are filming and Lisa's divorce is sure to be a central focus. RHOM season 4 ended with the star upset about her past marital woes. Now she will kick off season 5 facing the harsh reality that her marriage is over. Fans aren't too surprised by the divorce, due to Lenny's treatment of Lisa in RHOM season 4. But many are sympathetic to Lisa and rooting for The Real Housewives of Miami star to bounce back from the heartbreak.
